So it's supposedly another double elimination on Sunday which means only 3 of the remaining 5 will make the final...

For my money Mary is an absolute cert to go but the second casualty seems much less clear - I genuinely think it could be either Cher, One Direction or Rebecca. So CAST YOUR VOTE and remember only to vote for the two you think will be out this weekend.

Oh POOP. If a mod could please make this fail poll into a multi choix.

Once it's a multi-choice I will vote Mary ( :D ) and Cher ( :( - Buuuut I need 'Turn My Swag On' in HQ MP3! :snif:)

But I wouldn't be surprised at a Mary/Rebecca elimination... OneDirection and Matt are as safe as can possibly be.

Edited for you JARK

Mary is a given. Then I think it is a toss-up between Cher and Rebecca. I really have no idea. Hopefully the latter as she is so dull.

Mary and Cher I reckon. Depends if Cher does a performance as strong as 'Stay' or 'Shout' again though, if so, I think she could just edge over either Rebecca or One Direction. Matt is definetly safe and pretty unfortunately going to be the winner I think it's near enough safe to say.

Either way Cher is the Diana of this series (popularity wise - nothing else, thank god), having loyal fans but plenty of haters as well. She'll have a decent-ish career that's fairly different from The X Factor norm but nothing astounding success wise.

Well yes Mary is of course just an inevitability now of course. Lovely woman and everything but peaked far too early in the competition, to be honest I dont think she's ever recovered from the 'There You'll Be' performance and that was weeks back.

Frankly I dont see One Direction going anywhere, and unless all the others are amazing and he gets forgotten about then Matt isnt going anywhere either. A toss-up between Cher and Rebecca, and unfortunetly I think Rebecca could be more vulnerable at the moment.

I don't want Rebecca to go but I think she and Mary will be gone before the final.

I'm sure both these ladies will face elimination with more dignity than Cher would probably do ... so it is best that they leave before she does. Rebecca will get a record deal anyway ... so it doesn't matter if she goes or not. I feel a tad sorry for Mary but she is very boring.

Kath

On Rebecca getting a record deal though ... please, please let it not be anything to do with Simon! I've been increasingly annoyed at the amount of times he mentions Rebecca whenever he's interviewed. It looks like he already has his eyes on getting her into his clutches!

Mary certainly.

The second one...more difficult. Cher seems the more obvious pick, but I think the fact that Rebecca has never been bottom 2 may count against her - as Konnie would put it, "people drop the ball".

Rebec-zzz?!!! Alongside Matt, these are the only 2 singles I'd recognise singing if I didn't see them performing. I suppose Cher also has a unique vocal style. One Direction, especially in the songs where they all sing the chorus together, could be Westlife for all I care without the visuals - major lack of harmonies going on here. Mary again would blur into some other aging female singer.

I've voted Mary and Cher.

Mary for sure - but the other one? I think people are right so far suggesting either Cher or Rebecca so I suppose it depends on what their performances are like on the night. Cher preferrably for me - I really like Rebecca (although she is so dull) and would be a great final with her, One Direction and Matt.

Who cares if Rebecca is "dull" as so many others here seem to think. She has something that the Waissel would kill for; a fantastic singing voice. I actually love Rebecca's personality and the fact she's so humble and not bigheaded. Unlike Cher who does the whole "yes!" ** punches the air ** thing when Simon tells her how world class her performance is.

Rebecca's voice will be what sells her records. Cher's attitude won't. As for Waissel, her old record company should've kept the receipt and demand a refund.

UN-BELIEVABLE!

No not just ger personality - her voice. I can see people's appeal to it, but it's nothing that has not, and will not appear again. She has a good voice yes, but that is all. Her music she sings and the style she sings is just not to my taste and I can't even watch her performances as they are so boring.

the only one guaranteed a place in the final is Matt- I voted Mary and Cher as its the obvious two- however, I dont think this is a given

I think Cher could well do what JLS and Olly did and finish second despite the odds being against them- remember JLS were favourites to go at this stage in 2008, and bookies frontrunner Diana went instead- something the bookies weren't expecting before the night, Olly wasnt quite favourite to go pre-show in 2009 but after the show, he then became favourite to go, overtaking Danyl- who actually was the one to go at the end, I think people doubted him as he was on last

at this stage, the public have already decided who is their winner and finalists- running order and comments don't affect voting, in week 8, Danyl was 4th in the voting ahead of Lloyd, and the next week, despite being put on last and Olly giving two weak performances and being up first- he still finished bottom, Olly was actually quite a bit clear of him

so I think along with Mary who is a certainty, it could well be the act who was just outside the bottom 3 last week, we don't know who this is but I have a feeling it may have been Rebecca- so I think as her fans dont know shes in danger, she could be at risk this week, replicating what happened with Diana and Danyl, Chers fans will know there is a risk

personally, I hope its Mary and Rebecca- the latter is boring me now, she is inconsistent and has peaked already unfortunately

For me it's got to be Mary & Wand Erection

Rebecca is the new Leona
