Im just interested in what you guys think is going to happen in terms of music in 2011.

Britney  , Gaga :yahoo: and Beyonce :w00t:, three of the biggest female popstars are all coming back with new releases which in my opinion I think will all be successful releases.

I think that 2011 will be the year for all three of them. I can see Gaga selling 1 million copies in one week in the U.S. and gain her first No.1 album there.

Your predictions

Alesha Dixon will be dropped

Nadine Coyle releases 2nd single from album then abandons the whole campaign

Cheryl Cole goes for re-release ala Pixie Lott in the final quarter of 2011 rather than a new album.

Diana Vickers returns with a new LP, and it's sales $h!t all over the tainted Cherry turd

Sugababes flop and disband

Sarah Harding from Girls Aloud releases her solo LP

The Saturdays release 3rd/4th (however u look at it) album, but none of its singles get the #1 they crave

Pixie Lott's 2nd album is released and is full of generic ballads and flops like a belly flop

Katie Waisel releases an album and it does fairly well (for such a hated person)

What? No predictions about what will happen in female pop? Wrong board?

:P

VV Brown**

Hmm..is it possible for her to flop more than she already has? (talking about chart success obviously)

I think she will be slightly more successful but still a flop.

HURTS will release 'Devotion' and Radio 1 will playlist it thanks to Kylie. It will go Top 10 thanks to Kylie. It will jump-start their BIG TIME music career thanks to Kylie. They will become a household name thanks to Kylie. Radio 1 will act like they invented and discovered HURTS and will take responsibilty for their newfound success.

Basically, I reckon 'Devotion' should get some release action goin' onnn.

Of course, there is this to promote and release first:

Very exciting.

Shania Twain might finally pull her finger out and release her first studio album in 8 years.

I am hoping that Ed Drewett releases something else :(

:D

Like Higher by Taio Cruz and Any Which Way by Scissor Sisters have been huge hits thanks to Kylie?

Definitely. :L

In my defence, 'Any Which Way' was only C-Listed (or so Radio 1 claims, I swear I heard it just once in the four weeks it was playlisted), and 'Higher' isn't released yet is it?

Acts like Tinie Tempah, Roll Deep, Plan B, Eliza Doolittle and B.O.B will fail to repeat their 2010 success and will probably all flop or seriously underperform with their material next year, just like Chipmunk and Tinchy Stryder this year.

Almost all my favourite acts have released a new studio album this year...Except Björk and Pet Shop Boys and they will probably next year.

Will Madonna release something? If so, I wish she would go back to Bedtime Stories/Ray of Light days

Elbow will have their first #1 album

Madonna has said that she will be releasing a new album in 2011 :w00t: when she was opening her gym.
