I think it will. The cd released on Wednesday also has Nights in White Satin/First Time and The Way You Are.

They didn't say next week, that was a guess, but there were rumours they would release all 4 winner's singles. I guess it's not happening now though.

Rihanna had a massive lead last night, Matt's still album only.

I'm personally pleased that the campaigns aren't working so far (although #6 isn't bad for The Trashmen so far admittedly!)

 

It was funny once, and I got involved last year with Rage, mainly because the winner's single was literally the worst thing ever. It was a huge event in the charts and massively hilarious to see Joe fall to Rage. But the novelty has well and truly worn off, lightning doesn't strike twice in the same place!

 

Rihanna for xmas #2 instead thanks :D At least we know it won't plummet to #35 the week after!

Cage Against the Machine is going to rocket today.

Yah! So happy for Matt! #1 already is brilliant! This should be a huge seller. Joe did 450K last year with a heavily supported campaign against him, although there are still campaigns, they are no where near supported as what Rage was last year

The RATM campaign actually helped increase Joe's sales though.

 

I quite like Matt's song so I've no objection to it being number 1 this Xmas. I don't like it enough to buy it of course - but it is a vast improvement on last year's X-F winner's son.

hopefully Biffy can keep enough momentum to get the original song into the top ten on Sunday, that's pretty much where the original deserved to be anyway when it was first released

 

as for the winner's single, as a Biffy fan for a number of years I'm not really too bothered about it. The guy's voice is typical Cowell and they've introduced the usual key change into the song which always seems to be the formula for a Syco song. I wouldn't say he's destroyed it as the song was never really a Biffy classic to start off with anyway, if he started touching stuff like Justboy or older stuff then I might have had a problem wtih it

 

it will gain Biffy more exposure than they could ever dream possible in the UK and I doubt they'll have too many problems accepting the royalities which are gonig to be quite massive it looks like :D
