I think Surfin' Bird will climb higher once Amazon lower the price to £0.29, like they did with RATM last year. And once we find out what the winner's single is, as if it's as balls as last year plenty of people will want to download the protest tune.

I have to say though, I don't think the protest song will work this year - a lot of people downloaded RATM because they actually enjoyed the song, but Surfin' Bird has only ever been a novelty song.

What's My Name has a monstrous lead :w00t: Huge sales this week :D

No X Factor winning song can be as BAD as 'The Climb'.

TBH I think the Trashmen will do really well and finish in the top 3. The only outcome where I can see them being a real threat for the #1 is if One Direction win. I have nothing against them but their music is going to appeal to a much smaller market of people than say Matt and Rebecca who I feel have support from all corners not just hormonally challenged teenage girls, gays and grannies.

Ooooh and Crystal Castles at #96! Me loves that song <3 Best thing I've heard associated with The Cure in a VERY long time.

All those pre-orders for the X-Factor winners single will get dumped into the iTunes Top 100, so they'll start off with a fairly high position.

Take that performing again on xfactor.. expect sos to rise quite higher! Sales for next week could be around 400k as Stricly, xmas and xfactor will help them massive!
Come on Crystal Castles, keep on climbing! I'd adore for Not In Love to make the top 40 on Sunday, it really is one of the best singles of the year.

Trashmen not doing too badly, should be easily top 10. Top 5 most likely, and  at Corey Taylor! Seventh top 40 hit on the way? Shocking that "Psychosocial" didn't make it :(

I'm pretty sure Surfin' Bird will be #1 next week then. The silence's chance of #1 has been ruined by the fact that Surfin' Bird got top 10 first, so now it's THE campaign. It even got played on the Big Top 40 Show like half an hour ago, so now millions of people know about it.

And I've just heard Grenade on the radio! :o

I think I've already said this, but if 1D win I want Surfin' Bird at number 1! If Matt or Rebecca win, I want them to be number 1!
I would love for Surfin' Bird to beat XF again, even though it won't happen most likely- because its a classic song really, just like it was good for Rage not just because it set an example as a protest, but also got a good peak for a brilliant song :D
