I had to watch the final wheni got home on sky plus so im late replying to all this, delighted matt won i supported him for weeks and i wish him the best of luck with his career. The vote results are shocking in a way especially seeing mary should have made the final. Im also surprised that One Direction never made the top 2 on any week.

Cowell needs to listen to Seven Summers album to get an indication of how good a songwriter Matt is. Their album has shot to No 2 on Amazon`s download chart.

I dont understand why they have changed the title from 'Many Of Horror' to 'When We Collide'. Utterly pointless.

I'll NEVER get over the fact we will have that awful song/cover at #1 for Christmas, while we could have the amazing "Distant dreamer".

 

Quite happy for Rebecca though, never thought she'd overtake One Direction. :) And if we're lucky, she'll follow the same pattern as the last 2 years, with the runner ups (JLS, Olly Murs) selling more than the actual winner (Alexandra, Joe McElderry) :cheer:

The working title is Many of Horrors (When We Collide) so all they have done is to make the title more consumer-friendly. It matters not - still a great cover of a great song.

The second one was recorded with his previous band Darwyn in 2005 - his voice is not as mature and the album not as accomplished as Seven Summers.

Glad One Direction went (although it was a shock) with all the little kids voting for them.

If they had won, Simon would have tried to turn them into some kind of boring Pestlife clones.

 

Matt's winning single When We Collide - never heard it - I didn't like it so i'm not surprised.

 

Rebecca's winning song was brilliant. My favourite Duffy song although shortened - Rebecca's was 3.35 and Duffy's original was 5.06

I'll definately buy her album - She was brilliant throughout. I love her.

I think he'll do well initially if SyCo actually give him decent material, he won't do as well as Leona or Alex, but he should start off as well as ... well Shayne actually I think.

I agree with you - It's Rebecca that could have a great career and do as well as Leona and better than Alex (as she has not got international recognition). If someone takes Rebecca over to the US to be produced by Mr. Davis then she could have a great international career.

I sincerely hope it happens because she's not just a great singer, she's so down to earth and she will never forget her humble roots.
