April 18, 201114 yr Amy Pond  It's not true that she just stands there wide eyed. If it wasn't for her quick thinking the doctor would have turned the starwhale into a vegetable. It was her who realized that the starwhale only wanted to protect the children. Also she opened the latch for the doctor to get into the cathedral in the Vampires of Venice, sure she got captured afterwards but that's not the point. I haven't actually seen her wide eyed before. Edited April 18, 201114 yr by Sabrewulf
April 18, 201114 yr I'm not a huge fan of Amy pond admittedly (although she's the best looking companion for a long time :D) she doesn't seem to have any fear or vulnerability really, I sort of prefer that in a companion
April 19, 201114 yr I think Amy makes a nice change to be honest. We had Rose who got completley dull in her obsession with the Doctor, Martha who was a shite character and basically did the same thing and Donna, who was a nice change from the previous two as well, but it's good to see the Doctor with companions like Amy and Donna rather than Rose and Martha. I may have just rambled.
April 19, 201114 yr Hope Dr Who Series 6 is as just as exciting as the other series. 2 years to go to the 50th anniversary of Dr Who. Surely for 50 years they'll have a special Dr Who episode with all the Doctors somehow the BBC could manage to do that.
April 19, 201114 yr Well they've done it twice before so I don't see why not... though to be fair the first three are dead so they'd have to do more recent ones.
April 19, 201114 yr WHAT? WHAT IS YOUR SOURCE ON THIS?! Gallifreybase, Twitter, Digital Spy. It's literally just broken in the last 10/15 minutes. Very shocking as no-one knew she was ill. RIP :( Edited April 19, 201114 yr by Swagger91
April 19, 201114 yr Apparently Elisabeth Sladen, aka Sarah Jane, has passed away from cancer :o I was just reading an article on Digital Spy and suddenly the red breaking news bar came up. She is such an amazing actress and person and as a massive fan of Doctor Who and Sarah Jane adventures I was saddened to read this. RIP Elisabeth
April 19, 201114 yr This is such a shock considering the public and the fans didn't know she had cancer. R.I.P. :(
April 19, 201114 yr The BBC are now reporting it. Very sad news. First the Brigadier, now Sarah Jane :snif:
April 19, 201114 yr Oh no! First Nicholas Courtney, then Elisabeth Sladen less than 2 months later  R.I.P Edited April 19, 201114 yr by Bray
April 19, 201114 yr She's already filmed a new series of The Sarah Jane Adventures, I hope it's shown in dedication.
