I hope this time we're not left with so many questions as we have to wait a whole year for the next series!

There's a Christmas special to come so it's only a three month wait.

Yeah but so far Christmas specials have always been a taste of what's to come and they've usually come with a preview of the upcoming series but this time they won't have filmed any episodes :(

I really hate James Corden and I thought he was dreadful. The weakest link of a filler episode. It was once again very RTD in that is layed the emotion on with WAY too thick and was essentially an a, b, c, conclusion story. I can't wait to get back to (and finish) the story arc next week. It looks amazing, needless to say the last few minutes of this week were too but that wasn't enough to make up for an otherwise lacklustre episode.

It was fairly good in terms of the arc episode and forshadowing, but the events happening in the actual episode were quite predictable (THE POWER OF LOVE WINS AGAIN!!), and James Corden can't carry science-fiction episodes.

It was good acting from Matt, he made the best of a (very) weak script.

I thought Corden was OK in the last series but he was more like his usual irritating self this time. The episode was fun but I would have preferred them to use a new character rather than bringing back Craig.
I didn't mind it at all, I didn't like the 'love heals all' kinda ending but there were some nice touches earlier in the episode. I liked the interaction between them and the baby and there was the odd line that made me smile such as the reference to modern robot dogs not being as fun as they used to be.
As I was expecting, I didn't enjoy this episode. The last scene with River was the best part of the whole episode for me.

I thought it was pretty good actually! Obviously James Corden isn't the best of actors, but I think he was a lot better than last time. I love how all the little things linked it into the series opener - and that Amy is now a celebrity! I didn't understand the ending with River though, so I can't wait to see the finale next week :)
The prequel to the series finale is here. It's quite chilling with the 'tick-tock goes the clock' throughout!
I know I'm in a minority, but I like James Cordon :D He was great in this episode with the doctor. It's my second favourite of this part of the series - my favourite being the episode with old Amy (she was so good in that episode ) Really excited for the final, I don't know how it's gonna be done, because the Dr somehow has to stop his death or they'll be no Dr Who ever
I thought this episode (Closing Time) was pants. There was nothing at all exciting about the storyline, bunch of cybermen shacked up under a shop attempting to take over the world/turn people into cybermen again (and they didn't even do very well at that) and then in the end they were beaten by "love" of all things. How sad.

I thought this was okay but it SCREAMED 'filler'. There was no point bringing back James Cordon's character OR the Cybermen for this. It was a bit of a pointless story which went nowhere. The only thing that saved it for me was that it was pretty funny throughout. I didn't understand the end with River (I'm really not liking how she's being dealt with in the second half of this series), so my expectations for next week are lowered slightly.

This pretty much sums up how I felt about it.

The reason I didn't like it had nothing to do with James Cordon (I liked the first episode he was in), it just felt so much like a story for the sake of a story. Secondly if there was ever any doubt of who was more dangerous Cybermen or the Daleks this episode cleared it up pretty well.

I can just imagine now at the doctor who villain after party they would all be making fun of the cybermen for getting trounced by lurve.

I've just been looking on tumblr at people theorising about next week's episode (Dr Who fans REALLY go for it.) There is SO MUCH I'd forgotten about which could rear its head in the final episode - particularly from the first episode of this series - and although obviously no one really knows anything at this stage it's majorly confused me. :(
Well I really enjoyed this episode; naturally the last five minutes were exceptional but the rest wasn't half bad either (except for the overly camp RTD style 'love beats the cybermen'). I loathe James Corden but I actually found him quite bearable in this.
I thought the use of James Corden was a bit OTT this time round. People seem to think that the 'chemistry' between him and Matt Smith made last year's episode fantastic but on watching it again, I enjoyed it for the writing of the Doctor and Matt's acting. James Corden was just playing any old character albeit in a very understated way-which didn't happen this time.

If River Song is about to kill the doctor in the upcoming episode but then doesn't because of love I'm not going to be happy.

Love conquers fixed point in time shocker.

I actually think this was OK considering how dire the last episode which featured Corden was, he was bearable and it was a perfectly pleasant if (as others have said) a bit of a filler

I have to admit, I have no idea what to expect or what will happen in the finale :o looking forward to it though
