New Single from Chipmunk. Due for Release in February

I've not listened to the song yet, but I know it will flop in the UK if Chris Brown is on it. :( On the other hand, Chris Brown is the most famous person Chipmunk has ever collabed with, surely? :o A bit of a step up from Giggs, Esmee Denters, Devlin and Dayo Olatunji. :lol:

 

EDIT: Forgot. Chimpunk has collabed with Elton John and Beverley Knight. Silly me... Although Chris Brown is more relevant in today's mainstream music.

 

EDIT: Listened to it now. It's really, really good, in my opinion. The video reminds me a bit of the video for Coming Home. It does seem that Chris Brown provides more vocals to the track than Chipmunk does though. :lol: I hope this song is big, because it deserves to be, but I doubt it will. :(

The song and video are amazing, so I really hope it does well and that the radio stations don't snub it simply because it's Chris Brown. Despite what he did, he is still very talented and this song deserves to do well. I agree though.. it really should be Chris Brown feat. Chipmunk

 

I remember the music channels played Crawl and I Can Transform You quite a bit so getting airplay on there shouldn't be a problem

^Yeah, true. Or they might do like with No Air, and still play it, but not credit him (which I think is cruel, but at least they still played the song).

 

A similar thing happened last yeah, with the Kanye West/Beyonce/Taylor Swift fiasco, and Run This Town was popular at the time, and a lot of radio stations started to just credit it as "Jay-Z & Rihanna" for a while.

If this gets snubbed JUST because Chris Brown is on it (I won't say featured, as it's effectively Chris's song..) then I'm not gonna be happy! I realise everything that has happened - but this song is FANTASTIC, and I hope it doesn't snubbed based on what Chris did away from the studio.

Woah! Good news for fans of this song! It's trending on youtube, which means it's displayed on youtube's homepage if you like in the UK. A page which is seen by hundreds of thousands of people every day, and it's still over a month until it's released! :D Very promising start for the song. :)

I was gonna listen to this the other day when I saw Sabrina posted it, but for some reason didn't :( Anyway, saw it on the trending videos on the side of my YT homepage, and listened. LOVE IT :wub: I'm a Chip fan but not too keen on Chris, esp. after he battered RiRi :(

Do people not think it's a ploy for Chris Brown to be on the track so much?

 

Think about it, if he gets semi-bigish again here then it's going to have to happen through a collab, and Chipmunk is pretty big so could be a good ploy by the record company.

 

The song is pretty generic, but I really like it. Good catchy chorus, and both Chipmunk and Chris Brown smash the verses, so here's hoping its a hit.

What a great song this is. Glad to see Chris finally start doing something worthy of listening to again. 'I Can Transform Ya' and 'Crawl' were easily the best things off 'Graffiti'.

Yep but it was still a buzz single and received no promo before it was released onto iTunes.. A bit like Tinchy Stryder & Gangsta?

 

 

Not sure how big this will be, Chris Brown's career still really damaged from what he did to Rihanna. Also we've seen Tinchy hasnt come back as big with his new material, what will happen to Chipmunk? We'll see, an unexpected collab, and i still think a good-sized hit.

I believe chipmunk have got a better chane of not flopping like tinchy. This song "WILL" be a big hit for chip and breezy.

I really doubt this will do a Tinchy. I liked In My System, but Champion is MUCH better and probably Chipmunk's best single yet. Although, I haven't really heard it/seen the video much compared to his previous singles

NO WAY will this flop :wub: Tinchy's singles from album have been lackluster this era imo, except the fabulous Let It Rain :heart:

At the start I keep thinking it's a The Script song! :drama: Chris really does sound like Danny at some points! :o

Imo it deserves Number 1, but I can see it going Top 3/5 instead
