THAT TIME OF YEAR ONCE MORE.

I love and live for these mash-ups every year, but this year's REALLY highlighted how similar so much stuff was in 2010...but then, not his fault. Stellar as ever!

crap mash-up is crap

washing it away with sum girl talk

(who isn't THAT great but at least way more fun)

Would be interesting to hear California Girls with Dynamite as it's backing, sounds good.
best bit was the "New Yorrrrrrk to Californiaaaaaaaaaaa" part <3

FANTASTIC - not the best, I prefer last year - but still an amazing job

Only on 2nd listen did I miss a GENIUS connection: 'Ain't gonna no money in my pocket but.. I wanna be a billionaire' - very clever.

It just shows how fukking awful 2010 has been music wise for commercial pop music.
These remixes are such a mess! I could do a better job!

I seriously doubt that.

Too much Tik Tok/Dynamite/California Gurls. Not enough Bad Romance/Telephone!

It is dominated by those three songs. But you do need one song to back the whole remix (like 'Baby' did in the Capital Summer Time Ball Mix), which worked better. Which I would choose 'Dynamite' for :)

I do actually think I could make a better one!

And before you say it, I am not going to physically make one!

Frankly, he's never going to beat 2008, but then he was given an absolute GIFT in Viva La Vida that year.

THAT is what they should be like! Listening to it now, it's fantastic! I doesn't have any of the silly layering songs over songs, just one beat and it sounds like ONE song, not a load of songs stuck together!

It's so euphoric!

'Disturbia & Viva La Vida' parts

2008's mash-up just highlighted how STRONG that year was for music! I don't care what people say, but it was an outstanding year for me personally. So amazing.

All of 2006-2009 were absolutely amazing imo, esp summer 2006, late 2007 and 2009 in general. The first four months of 2010 were the worst period for music since early 2005, but luckily it picked up after the amazing month of May and all of those leaks of the big summer songs  Even Eurovision, Melodifestivalen and Melodi Grand Prix were way below par this year a few tracks aside - hopefully 2011 will be far better all round!

It's not his best work, to be honest. And it's not just because of the songs, it feels a bit rushed. 2008 and 2009 worked so well because he broke the songs down and put them together as a song in it's own right. Really, considering how similar some of the songs sound, this should've been easier this year, surely?

I think it's good! :o I prefer it to last year's too, because it blends together a bit more I think.

Here's another mashup of 2010 if anyone's interested:

It's alright but nowhere near as good as Earworm's

Edited by THEO.

The 'put your hands up' line was like in literally every song used in this mash-up so i guess this fact ALONE should explain why 2010 was godawful for mainstream music.

Also, too much Ke$ha, Katy Perry, Enrique, Usher and Taio 'WHO again?' Cruz. Like they were the only hits of the year. Especially Iglesias whose 2010 attempt was atrocious and should not be even called 'a song'.

I agree that the 2008 remix was brilliant. DJ Earworm has since had the difficult task of producing something of that quality. Surprised 2010 didn't have a more solid mix as, like others have mentioned, a lot of this years tracks have been similar (Usher "hands up" Rihanna "hands up" Ke$ha "hands up" Katy Perry "hands up") <--- Co-incidence?

Anyways, I'm sure some of the regulars on Buzzjack will enjoy this 2010 megamix (and no, it isn't my own work :P ):

1. Lady GaGa feat. Beyonce - Telephone (DJ Dan Extended Vocal Mix)

2. Rihanna - Rude Boy (Wideboys Stadium Club Mix)

3. Kristine W - The Power Of Music (Wideboys Stadium Club Mix)

4. Cheryl Cole - Parachute (Buzz Junkies Club Mix)

5. Sophie Ellis Bextor - Bittersweet (Freemasons Extended Mix)

6. Beverly Knight & Chaka Khan - Soul Survivor (Bimbo Jones Extended Mix)

7. Sun- Fancy Free (Digital Dog Extended Club)
