Posted January 4, 201114 yr Swedish/Congolese artist signed to RedOne's label (i.e. he's on Interscope/Cherrytree). He's already done tracks with Akon and Nelly ("woo") but it's most recently leaked track "Coconut Tree" that's garnered my attention. Featuring the Pussycat Doll, who quite blatantly recorded this song first and RedOne's weaved her vocals through this. Some random Hawaiian words because she's hugely proud of her 1/64 Hawaiian roots. Either way, I can see this being pretty big if released over summer: HOkVryelzVI Please let me know your thoughts below. Thanks Jake
January 4, 201114 yr FABULOUS, but then I've resigned myself to the fact that no matter how half-arsed RedOne gets I'm going to love whatever he does.
January 4, 201114 yr Great song, it would be good if they release this in future. And this topic should go in PCD forum, I think.
January 4, 201114 yr Why? It's a Mohombi track, not a Nicole one...it'd get no attention whatsoever pigeonholed away in an AF.
January 4, 201114 yr Author Nicole says about 5 words in the entire song? I'd appreciate it if you didn't bring down the tone of this thread with POTSHOTS NickF1, I spent a lot of time preparing this thread =.=
January 4, 201114 yr Okay gurls calm down, I said I think coz it's featured Nicole Scherzinger on it... But I agree it will get more attention here... so good for you Jake !!! and good for Mohombi and Nicole.
January 4, 201114 yr Liking the sound of this. It reminds me of Edward Maya 'Stereo Love' though. Just with a RedOne twist... But yeah, this would be good for a position on Now 79, Disc 1, Track 9/10.
January 4, 201114 yr I can see this getting released April/May time to become an early summer hit, like Stereo Love. It would deserve it, but I can't see this getting #1
January 4, 201114 yr The beat is too fast. Should be slowed down a tad. I don't like the way it is produced, would sound a lot better if the vocals were slowed down along with the beat. Saying that I like the tempo towards the end of the track, but it just sounds too messy for me, but I know i'll end up loving it after I hear it in a club

Who's That Chick, although that didn't exactly flop. Plus the spoken Nicole parts at the beginning and end are just amaze! :cheer: Edited January 4, 201114 yr by Klumzee
January 4, 201114 yr Author Quite what the Nicole part is all about is bafflement. And Ren, one can confirm this sounds AMAZEBALLZ under the influence of alcohol, be in club or not.
January 4, 201114 yr Nicole is $h!t on the song and really offers nothing to it. She's clearly only there to help promote Mohombi lol I still think the production is very messy and rushed, but hopefully when i'm back at Uni i'm going to experiment listening to the song drunk cos I do think it will be a good club song despite my dislikings of the vocals and production of the song

Let's do a small prayer together Ren and live in hope. Pray and live in hope.
