Is it just me, or does the piano part in 'Grenade' sound like a slowed down version of Clocks by Coldplay?

I always thought When Love Takes Over sounded a bit like Clocks too (well, they were very different, but the piano bits). And also the Cahill remix of Need You Now by Agnes samples Clocks.

Also, Speed of Sound sounds exactly likes Clocks, just with different words and a diffferent piano melody. :drama:

Check It Out is phenomenal!!!!

Windell Beneto Edwards became the singer known as Gyptian when he left his rural home in St. Andrew, Jamaica, and travelled to Portmore. Combining hypnotic nyahbinghi drums with lyrics that plead for an end to violence and crime, his first single, "Serious Times," exploded across Jamaica. After being presented with enough socially conscious music and old-school lovers rock to fill a full-length, Gyptian made his debut in 2006 with My Name Is Gyptian on the VP label. Two years later he returned with I Can Feel Your Pain. In 2010 his massive Jamaican hit "Hold You," taken from the album of the same name, put him back in the spotlight. - HMV

How the flamin' hell is this still in the charts. :arrr:
Grenade would be a better record with a beefier production. Sounds like a demo to me.

WLTO officially credited Clocks as a sample :P

I love 'Check It Out', will.i.am is a modern legend.

And WTF is Gyptian doing in the top 40? And I was shocked when it re-entered last week!

How has Gyptian climbed again? (I know he's been listed as a climber in the mids but I don't get why he's so high  As I mentioned last week this is almost an exact repeat of 'Kings And Queens' and its start to 2010)
Gyptian still in the top 40. Good for him.

and bad for us. :puke2:

Yeah. If I hadn't seen the mid-weeks, I would be really shocked by this (and last week aswell).

I will admit the piano sounds similar, but apart from that its far more upbeat and has different instruments- so I wouldn't call them 'exactly' the same

anyway, hope this is out next week too- how this is climbing is beyond me :puke2:

I seriously HATE this, it's so cheap sounding and he sounds retarded. :arrr:

Er, it's called a Jamaican accent...

Album Discussion Here

Let It Rain set to be a hit for Tinchy then after the flop of Second Chance

I like this, but mainly due to Melanie Fiona. I find his rapping very average

Edit: I didn't realise Give It To Me Right missed out on the top 40 by one position :o
