Monster didn't get cherry-picked the most, Telephone did.

Yeah, I know.

This was iTunes on the day most of Gaga's album tracks peaked. Teeth was the lowest charting at #66! :o And Telephone was #15 at that point. Wait your Turn was an album track from Rihanna which also charted very high, and only narrowly missed the top 40. :( I believe it was a promo song and had a video, which is probably why it got cherry-picked the most. I think Monster got cherry-picked the most because it's the title track. I've noticed a lot of title tracks, or first tracks on the album get cherry-picked more than the others.

Telephone obviously got cherry-picked because it's a Beyonce collab. But with the other tracks, I was speculating as to why Monster got cherry-picked more than, say, So Happy I Could Die, and my theory is because, from observing other albums, the title tracks usually chart higher than the rest, or most of the rest. It's even worse in the US. It's quite common for a seemingly random track to go top 20 on iTunes from a big album. Your Love is My Drug got top 20 on iTunes over there, as did Last Friday Night from Katy Perry's album. I think both of those were the first tracks on the album too.

I'm not sure how the Glee tracks will do this week. I mean, if Toxic only made #40, I'm not sure if the others will do very well. I thought Toxic would've been one of the biggest songs from this season.

I don't think the Glee tracks will do that well this week, I think maybe one or two low top 40, they could all miss the top 40 tbh

the US chart is a good indication of where the Glee tracks will chart- so far the ones that have made the biggest impact are Teenage Dream and Forget You (8 and 11), only two of this weeks made the top 40- so probably not a huge impact, although there are sometimes differences - Toxic got top 20 there and only scraped the top 40 here, although that could be because it was a busy week last week

I'd rather it was Bridge Over Troubled Water (better version) or Losing My Religion (better song) ^_^

WHA :o

'I Want To Hold Your Hand' was amazing arrangement-wise in comparison to the original, and as good as 'Losing My Religion' is, I definitely prefer the Beatles track.

Adele down to #5! :o

Is she falling or are Blind Faith and Coming Home climbing?

Hopefully the album picks will keep her in the top 5 this Sunday, although I was hoping she would climb to number one in the coming weeks. Looks unlikely now, even more than it did before. :(

its more people downloading the album version now that they have it- in a way its quite good, it means people are buying the album, plus Blind Faith is climbing (which I'm thrilled about by the way :yahoo: )

On the topic of the Glee tracks, 'One Of Us' was easily the best performance tonight imo, though they were all pretty good to say none of the song choices were that modern.

Pop Bars at 22:55 Ke$ha lead is getting bigger now ...

I'll be surprised if Ke$ha was to end the week selling over 100k. It's possible, I just never thought 'We R Who We R' would be such a potentially big UK hit.

Adele - Someone Like You #36   Didnt expect it'd break top 40!

Chris Brown #31 climbing fast now! :o

Is Sleazy anywhere? :( I heard it has made an appearance

#376 or something, her record label are seriously retarded if they stick with it being the next single ... hopefully 'Cannibal' or 'Blow' charts highly next week so they change their mind! :D

Rolling in the Deep (single version) may have slipped to #5, but only because her album version is rapidly climbing and is at #25 at the moment, so top 3 still i'm sure.

Also Make You Feel My Love still #14!

Someone Like You  #34

Set Fire To The Rain #88  Has to be a single!

Ke$ha is basically guaranteed to be number one on the official charts.

She will be front loaded but Bruno Mars with all versions combined is even behind her now.

Thank you! ^_^ And yeah I hoping they change their mind too. I like Sleazy but as a single it won't be very well recieved. 'Diva' anyone? And I think she is filming two music videos back to back and she has a tour coming up so I think we should know what the next singles are soon :D

Has Sleazy already been released as a single in the US, because I saw some remix of it doing well on US iTunes. Like an Andre 3000 remix or something. Is that the single?

To be honest, the only way I can see them not releasing Sleazy here is if one of the album tracks go top 10 on iTunes next week or something, and there's like a 0.05% chance of that happening unless there's a Rihanna collab on there or something.

For what it's worth, I do like Sleazy. Pretty impressive given that it's just a bunch of drums with Ke$ha chit-chatting over the top.

It's officially her 2nd single :)

AHHHH. Nice to see that 'Only The Good Die Young', 'One Of Us' & 'I Want To Hold Your Hand' are the most cherry-picked from todays episode  The best three. Particularly OTGDY.
