Adele #1! :o :o :heart: :heart: Didnt expect that! I doubt she'll stay #1 till Sunday but thats incredible! Obviously a #1 album too for her next Sunday. :wub:

Would be great for Bruno to do the double on Sunday! :D

Great for White Lies album too! :dance:

Omg Adele #1!?! Yes! I think she can do it. Her lead is increasing (or Bruno's decreasing) on itunes, thanks to her main version AND the remix version is doing quite well (it has been rising). But he has a version at #62 and #109 (which could be the reason why his lead has been decreasing a bit). Does Adele have anymore promotion lined up for the rest of the week? Honestly, she should of been on Dancing on Ice Sunday, she would've had #1 in the bag then I think.
Surprised to see Adele at #1! :o I hope she does get #1 this week, as she's the only viable contender for Bruno now. I haven't actually heard her song yet, but I don't like Grenade, so even if I don't like Rolling in the Deep, I'd still prefer it to get #1 just to have something different at #1.

Only just got here so catching up with all of todays chart action. ^_^

Adele chasing first number one single

1 Adele {254 copies ahead}

2 Bruno Mars

This has really surprised me as even with physical sales, I'd have thought Bruno Mars had a much bigger lead on iTunes to pull ahead after two days sales.

Fascinatiom/Polydor’s newly-released Mow Or Never by Jodie Connor featuring Wiley.

:kink:

Albums

1. Bruno Mars {2,000 ahead}

2 White Lies

Just 2k ahead? I would've expected Bruno to have had a bigger lead again but obviously that's not the case. I'm sure White Lies' album sales will tail off whilst Mars' album should sell a bit more consistantly.

Adele still #1, Britney #6. Avril is also in the top 40 now.

Update will be posted as soon as we have the albums.
Woo thats a big climb for Britney, thought she'd be about 8 today, Top 5 for sure on Sunday then!?
Such a travesty Britney was released on Monday only. No logic beyond that, and whatever position she ends up on Sunday, she could have charted higher if released on Sunday.

I guess people are buying Bruno's album, than the single now, and the focus is on Adele at the moment.

I love to see Bruno get another week at #1 though, rather having a #1 weekly turnover, but if Adele can make it to #1 on Sunday, she could hang on for another week with the album release next Monday. She seems to be catching up on iTunes, sales must be very close.

I think Adele can hold the top spot. Mainly because that she is increasing on itunes and she has most probably extended her lead today, although it is still very close. Would love it if she would get to #1 next week too :wub:
