Yeah, she can be difficult to understand sometimes, but the same can be said for Rihanna tbh (but both are awesome).

 

I can understand some of the words Diana says, such as "kill", "shot", "murdered", "wicked" and "bullet".

 

But even then, the lyrics aren't the reason I like Diana's songs anyway. To me, it doesn't really matter if I understand what she's trying to say. It's more like an added bonus if I do. :lol:

I think her single sold just over 200,000, which is very little for a #1. Not sure about her album, but I also know it had very low sales for a #1.

 

However, the thing is, if Diana had 200,000 sales for her single, but had a chart run of 32-27-12-9-10-9-10-13-15-25-35, people would probably be saying she was a success.

 

Once getting to #1 causes it to be compared with other #1s, some of which were mind-blowingly massive like California Gurls, OMG, We No Speak Americano, Fireflies, Just the Way You Are, etc, so of course it looks like a failure.

 

The reality is, Once was frontloaded because it had its radio premiere on 1st January 2010, and got released in like April or something. That was great, because it got her to #1, but it was kind of "Oh, she's already gone now".

Im not a huge hater of Diana, in fact I kindof like her as she gives me the giggles when she sings but I just can't see her cracking the US, Good luck to her though

B.o.B. and Hayley Williams have actually met now, but it took them months!!! :o

Hayley has never been there whenever they've performed Airplanes II. They usually just play her singing from the speakers, or they get another singer to do it. I watched one performance where it was girl who everybody used to think was Ke$ha who sang the hook.

It's a Buzz Junkies remix, and some of their other remixes got released, like their remix of Parachute by Cheryl Cole, so it is possible!!

 

Remixes don't usually sell very much though, because most of them rely on a couple of spins on small radio stations every weekend for their promo. :(

BTW, how many do you think Bruno Mars single will have sold this week?

 

I'd guess 90k-ish.
