January 24, 201114 yr Jack's right. I've heard 'A Night Like This' twice at work now :w00t: Now, i've just got to wait for Tone to be added. I think i might have an actual spazz attack if Butterflies was playing at work. So, rare comment time!!!! I like/know/hate/have an opinion on: 1. Britney Spears - Hold It Against Me (3) (CR-3-1) - Obviously i love this. It's Britney. 2. Sheelah - The Last Time (NEW) (CR-2) - I'm really loving this, don't know if it's better than psycho, but i don't think it's fair to directly compare the two. 4. Rihanna feat Drake - What's My Name (2) (CR-8-3-2-3-5-3-1-2-2-2-1-1-2-4) Longest Runner - I just find this so bland. 8. Tove Styrke - White Light Moment (6) (CR-3-2-3-2-3-1-1-1-2-3-6-8) - 10. Yohanna - Nótt (NEW) (CR-10) - This must win the Icelandic NF. Although if it doesn't Ashton has one of it's entries for 2011 sorted  12. Taio Cruz feat Kylie Minogue - Higher (5) (CR-19-9-9-5-12) - I've heard this before, i just don't remember it. 14. Anna Abreu - Hysteria (20) (CR-20-14) - It's no Music Everywhere, but what is? 17. It's incredible Jessie J - Do It Like A Dude - I quite like this, i don't think it's the second coming like others on here do though. Ke$ha - We R Who We R - Ke$ha  Maria Haukaas Mittet - Glorious - Which reminds me i need to download this. P!nk - f***in' Perfect - Her Funhouse singles were better imo The Naked & Famous - Young Blood - Shame this won Unknown Pleasures, this would have been a good BJSC entry. f***ing unknown indie $h!te. Tone Damli - No Way Out - I think it's high time this charted [again] :kink: Wretch 32 - Traktor - LOL this track is hilarious. Then again, that may be in part because of the dancing me and my friends were doing to it. Wynter Gordon - Dirty Talk - I like this. *Zowie - Bite Back - Haven't heard this yet. * = New to the playlist this week Albums 1. Adele - 21 (NEW) (CR-1) 2. January 24, 201114 yr Hey :D , my comments this week: 2. Sheelah - The Last Time (NEW) (CR-2) Great track, I wonder if this was submitted to MF this year, it's the right length... 10. Yohanna - Nótt (NEW) (CR-10) Really good song from Yohanna, fingers crossed iceland will get behind it more than the tribute song *E-Type - Back To Life I'm not a huge fan of this compared to his previous material, maybe I'll grow to like it Hanne Sørvaag - You're Like A Melody She came across very nervous on stage, but it's a nice song Helene Bøksle - Vardlokk This has grown on me loads this week, I would be happy if this won MGP *Isabella - Sand I thought this was terribly bland sadly :( *Mimi Blix - Allergic Amazing song, would make a brilliant UK entry for Eurovision *Patrick Wolf - The City Interesting to see this here, I've yet to hear it, but I have great expectations! *Star Pilots - Heaven Can Wait All their singles are blending into one now  . I think I'll give this a miss from my chart
January 24, 201114 yr Hi Richard, thought I'd already posted in here but obviously not. :drama: 1. Britney Spears - Hold It Against Me (3) (CR-3-1) Britney's first ever #1 in your chart, but you gotta admit she's done it in style. I can see 'Hold It Against Me' becoming a massive hit in my chart. As you know it's new at #2 for me, kept off the top by Adele (which I do think is excellent) but Britney might well overtake - I suspect a really good music video would help. 3. Nero - Me & You (1) (CR-6-2-1-3) After two weeks at no. 2, Nero is now down to no. 5 for me. I don't see 'Me & You' plummeting though, it's still one of my fave tracks around. 5. Diddy-Dirty Money feat Skylar Grey - Coming Home (9) (CR-6-3-3-4-9-5) As hopd, 'Coming Home' has become a big hit and it's very much deserved. I can't say I've been a massive Diddy/P Diddy/Puff Daddy fan but this track proves that US rap can be great rather than grate. 9. JLS feat Tinie Tempah - Eyes Wide Shut (11) (CR-9-6-8-15-OUT-11-9) After 'Everybody In Love' got as high as #6 in my chart, it's left to be seen if JLS can manage to outpeak the song when 'Eyes Wide Shut' charts. It's rockedted 10-02 in my Pre-Release chart so the signs are looking good. Weird to think that I really couldn't care less about JLS during The X Factor but they've released ('The Club Is Alive' aside) some good pop tracks. 10. Yohanna - Nótt (NEW) (CR-10) Ooohh, I read about this in the Iceland 2011 Eurovision thread, just didn't listen to it. 'Is It True?' was easily one of my fave Eurovision entries of 2009. Only song that performed better in my chart was the criminally underated 'Lose Control' by Waldo's People. :( 12. Taio Cruz feat Kylie Minogue - Higher (5) (CR-19-9-9-5-12) This continues to grow. Initially, I said this would struggle to make my top 10 but now I wouldn't rule out top 5. There is a risk of music channel overkill and I eventually get bored of hearing the song all the time. 13. Adele - Rolling In The Deep (8) (CR-20-13-10-7-8-13) 17. Martin Solveig feat Dragonette - Hello (14) (CR-14-17)

Then again, that may be in part because of the dancing me and my friends were doing to it. Wynter Gordon - Dirty Talk - I like this. *Zowie - Bite Back - Haven't heard this yet. A Phil comment, honoured! Britney's song is so great  I know what you mean about Sheelah - I probably like them the same amount, but it's not like they're particularly similar - this is more electro whereas Psycho was more pop/rock influenced. Nooooo - What's My Name is fantastic! Definitely one of my favourite songs of the last few years! Looks like Ashton already has about 6 or 7 months of entries sorted  Hysteria's definitely a grower, might give Anna another top ten hit for me but her last era can't be beaten - Music Everywhere, Impatient and Capital C were all pop perfection  That album alone gave her 4 top ten's in my singles chart, in fact I really need to dig it out and give it another listen! I'm still not overly fussed on Dragonette and never have been, but I do love Hello! Amazing in a club  Not heard Glee's take on Marry You yet but I definitely like the original! I knew you'd love Hanne, it had all the hallmarks of something you'd loon over :heehee: Agreed about Jessie J - it's grown on me a lot but it's also fairly irritating at the same time  Glorious is 100x better in studio form and almost near the standard of her pre-Make My Day material! Hopefully it bodes well for her next album! Yeah, I agree about Naked & Famous, part of me wishes I hadn't pulled it out of contention but how uninspired would it have looked to send a song that just won the other contest on here? There are a lot of overlapping participants in the two after all (even though I discovered the song long before UP started...). Ha, I should despise Traktor but it is indeed pretty hilarious, and owes itself to stupid dancing I think! Hey :D , my comments this week: 2. I think I'll give this a miss from my chart Thanks Ghosty :cheer: 2. I'm pretty sure you might be right, more's the pity :( 10. Hopefully so, I was incredibly shocked to see it so low in your chart considering how well Is It True did :o E-Type's song is quite catchy but I don't 'love' it...Hanne's might go top 20 next week, as may Mimi, I'm not sure yet. Isabella came across very pretentious and self loving on stage so she'll be out of the playlist next week  I agree about Star Pilots - I think it may be a one weeker! As for Helene, the jury's still out - I do really like it but it still massively misses *something*, probably an instant melody, and she won't get far in ESC without one. Anything but Aste & Rikki though :drama: Hi Richard, thought I'd already posted in here but obviously not. :drama: 1. Well yep, 3-1 is almost as impressive as a #1 debut, and only the MIGHTY Nadine could manage that feat, and look what happened there :drama: It really is an excellent comeback single - very current and all round excellent. 9. I was the same, but only because Louis Walsh had them penned as the new Westlife giving them ballads to sing in suits when it was clear from their audition that they were a more current band. This is actually their first top ten hit for me :o But 4 weeks in so far isn't bad going at all! 10. It's a gorgeous song, although may not end up going to Eurovision - I'd recommend it though. Lose Control is still my mobile phone ringtone! Although I still think that it was an absolute train wreck live! 12. I thought it would and that you'd written it off too quickly - I said the same thing when I first heard it 'how bland and boring', but 6 weeks in and I couldn't stop listening to it! Travie's version is an abomination though :drama: Trust Radio 1 to playlist that...
January 24, 201114 yr Thanks Ghosty :cheer: 2. I'm pretty sure you might be right, more's the pity :( 10. Anything but Aste & Rikki though :drama: 02 - Indeed. It isn't quite as epic as Psycho was, but it would have been nice to see them in MF. 10 - It'll climb next week :P . Is It True, iirc, entered my chart outside the top 20 :o . Yeah, Isabella didn't come across well at all. Helene's song definitely lacks the instant hook that Eurovision songs need, she'd definitely stay in the semis if Norway send her, but then Norway haven't got much else to choose from - Mimi and possibly Hanne are the only songs I can see having a chance of qualifying.
January 25, 201114 yr *Bruno Mars - Marry You - I like the Glee version [it has Dianna Agron in it, so i adore it]IN THE WORDS OF ARTIE ABRAHMS... PREACHHHH!

I never properly got into Is It True until after her ESC semi performance  It's not been a great year for MGP in terms of songs that they could do well with in ESC...juries might push Helene into the final but I can't see televoters rushing towards it. Mimi and Hanne both in particular actually scream 'fan favourite that falls in the semi', and with that in mind I can't see Norway doing overly well this year. Babel Fish might get them mid-table in the final and I honestly think that's their glass ceiling this year.

It's been in both Dandy and RabbitFurCoat's top 2 recently and they're two of the 'indiest' posters on here! Hanne could too easily do an Anna Bergendahl, and as you said Mimi Blix would be the pre-contest favourite that doesn't do anywhere near as well as hoped.

Definitely, you can see why she did so well, absolutely faultless vocal in both the semi and the final, her voice is so pure yet incredibly powerful too. Yep, I agree with all of your points there - hopefully Sweden can find a way back into the final this year, it seemed very bizarre without them last year.

Clare Maguire - The Last Dance (13) (CR-13-15) 16. Adele - Set Fire To The Rain (NEW) (CR-16) 17. Martin Solveig feat Dragonette - Hello (14) (CR-14-17) Who knew it'd take Britney 12 years to get a #1 on your chart?! If I had a chart as long as you did, I think she'd have at least gone to #1 with Toxic for me. I haven't listened to Adele's album, but the reviews have been incredible! SFTTR sounds like another winner to me. Nice to see Rocketeer on your playlist. I think it's better than Like A G6, but I still like it though.
