August 29, 201212 yr Supposed still from the 'How To Be A Heartbreaker' video: http://i48.tinypic.com/246mb6g.jpg This video can only be good.
September 2, 201212 yr I listened to 'How To Be A Heartbreaker' months ago and it made no impression whatsoever, but after giving it another chance it has hit me. Edited September 2, 201212 yr by Silver Rocket
September 2, 201212 yr I heard that still was fake? I hope not, looks good for obvious reasons. Well, she did tweet the following: 15 HRS, 10 MALE UNDERWEAR MODELS. I DID IT FOR THE FANS, I DID IT FOR THE ART.
September 2, 201212 yr Oh OK I never saw that, it's just that a couple of people on other forums said it was fake, idk why
September 2, 201212 yr God it hit me recently how great this album is and how great she is what? Really? I feel all her edges have been smoothed away on this album - apart from Bubblegum Bitch.
September 2, 201212 yr what? Really? I feel all her edges have been smoothed away on this album - apart from Bubblegum Bitch. Have you not listened to the lyrics of 'Teen Idle'? Or heard the depth of the production on 'Valley of the Dolls'? All her idiosyncrasies and clever lyricism are still very much in evidence. Edginess doesn't just equate to brashness (which, though I like 'Bubblegum Bitch', is basically that track's manifesto).
September 2, 201212 yr i'm not completely buying this album but power & control is still fantastic. that production! bubblegum bitch too. there's something about her to very much still be liked.
September 2, 201212 yr Speaking of Teen Idle, it's easily my favourite on the album now after initially not being too affected by it. Just stunningly amazing!
September 2, 201212 yr I think if anything I am really just loving her "look" this album and her attitude. It enhances the music for me. I think image is very important to pop music. Like her look in the How to Be a Heartbreaker music video judging from that pic is very spot on
September 2, 201212 yr Fear and Loathing in it's full album version glory remains one of my favourite tracks of 2012.

I have and they're not bad at all but I guess I stopped listening to this album a few months ago. It gave up its treasure early on - I could tell that there were no growers on it. In retrospect, it was a disappointment at the time but not as disappointing as other albums since so I think I will have to reappraise it.
September 2, 201212 yr Fear and Loathing in it's full album version glory remains one of my favourite tracks of 2012. Shame it's the only standout on the album though :( It's a fun album in theory but none of the songs are good enough to make it enjoyable. I'm trying it again now and everything's just leaving me cold (Radioactive and maybe Lies aside but one if them isn't even ON IT)
September 2, 201212 yr I've kinda gone off the album a lot recently, "Radioactive" (which is by FAR the best single of this era) would have lifted it had they decided to put it on the album (strangest decision ever!)- but the rest of the album, with the notable exception of "Fear and Loathing" is really too similar and very cliched/boring. I am a little upset that after such a promising and interesting debut that she'd want to release a load of poor quality chart friendly hits, but I hope this was just some bizarre change in direction that she needed to get out of her system.
September 3, 201212 yr ALBUM OF THE YEAR. No need to be hypocritical, overly cynical. Haters stfu. Kthxbye
September 3, 201212 yr ALBUM OF THE YEAR. No need to be hypocritical, overly cynical. Haters stfu. Kthxbye  This. I was cynical about it to start with (although I did enjoy it) but a few months on I am LOVING it and ultimately it's my favourite album so far this year, which is a tall order in a year with new Carrie Underwood! It is very generic and perhaps hypocritical given her previous comments on mainstream pop and I admit that but it's a fantastic pop album and I find myself coming back for more and more still, even after all these months.
September 3, 201212 yr It's my fav album of the year too so far but with so many exciting releases I don't know if it will remain.
September 3, 201212 yr I actually find it DISGUSTING that this is underperforming. People rave about how talented Adele and Emeli Sande is, Marina is in a completely different league in comparison, lyrically and vocally. This should have been this year's '21' if there were any justice in the music world. Plebs just aren't gullible to such captivating, intelligently-written music unfortunately for Marina ever to be a major force in the industry. I'M SO DISSATISFIED :drama:
