Has anyone kept stats on how often the midweek #1, as announced on radio 1, has not ended up as the #1 on the final, Sunday, chart?

 I love that song. And to beaten by something so terrible. Adele - Rolling In The deep was the midweeks wasn't it.

Eminem & Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie definitely were in one of the weeks they ended up at #2 as well.
Oasis' 'Songbird' was #1 and ended up at #3, Will Young's 'Don't Let Me Down' and Madonna's 'American Life' were both #1 right until the very end, and were knocked down to #2.
Manic Street Preachers with A Design for Life, The Love of Richard Nixon and You're Love Alone is Not Enough.
Leona was #1 with 'Happy' up until the wednesday i think then BEP got it with 'Meet Me Halfway' :(
Sugababes and 'Get Sexy' was #1 mid-week before they eventually got outsold by Jay-Z (feat. Kanye West and Rihanna)
Nearly all of those Elvis re-issues were midweek #1's in 2005, I think only 3 of them officially topped the charts, owing to the fact that they sold the bulk of their weekly 20-25k on the Monday. Shame that series hadn't been saved until this year, where they'd all be lucky to go higher than #10-15...

I'm sure I recall Bon Jovi's "Everyday" being #1 in the midweeks in late 2002.

Sugababes "Get Sexy" was #1 for a short period too.

Number 1 all week then number 3 on sunday

I didn't know this but HA. :cheer:

Awful song.

Nicole Scherzinger - Poison was number 1 on mids but ended on #3 official.

Joe McElderry on his first week of release was no.1 midway but the RATM campaign kicked in and knocked it down (although, as we all know it got to no.1 the next week :()
Oh yeah. Obviously the True Steppers vs. Spiller and Sophie Ellis-Bextor battle! Also, I remember Rachel Stevens vs. Black Eyed Peas ('Sweet Dreams (My LA Ex)' vs. 'Where Is The Love?') being quite a close battle throughout the week. Was Kate Nash ever number 1 in the mids the week she was 13 copies or whatever behind Timbaland?
