I used to hate her but I love her now for some reason. It's quite shocking. Going to the London gig maybe. Anyone else on it?!!!
I would be suprised if she can sell out those two dates. Let's be honest, she isn't an artist people really wanna flock too. Plus, she has only had the one hit and everything else has all flopped.

great song...and yeah, it is a lot like te amo. A little too like it possibly
After the first listen.. I really like this. At first I thought it sounded a bit like Te Amo, but it is in fact a lot better

Edit: Few more listens later and I love this :o

yep... I agree with you on this one! :)

this song is amazing! I've always liked a bit of keri hilson, but this is my favourite single from her for sure. it's verry rihanna, 'te amo' and 'what's my name?'.
I've seen the video on music channels a fair bit recently .... still doubt it'll do anything for her though.
I think ultimately it just sounds too anonymous to be a hit. You can tell it was written with somebody else in mind. There's so much pop music with personality out there at the minute, generic stuff like this doesn't have much of a chance even if it is semi-decent.

True but I can guarantee that if it was sung by Rihanna, it would have been at least top 20 hit.

This one is my fave from Keri , it's my summer anthem :D and it reminds me a lot of fun I've had on Montenegro.

SEVEN DAYS. :w00t:

Also 'Lose Control' is now #220 on UK iTunes. IF ONLY she had radio support! :drama:

Choice FM are playing it a lot. They only really exist in London though. It would be nice if some of the bigger stations like Capital and Radio 1 could play it.

Keri should have released Lose control as the 1st official worldwide single from No Boys Allowed and it would of been a smash it

I went to see her last night and I'm gutted to say it's one of the worst (if not THE worst) gig I've been to. I'm so disappointed in her, she's one of my favourite artists but it was just terrible. Rubbish support acts, late on stage (she arrived at about 9:50), didn't stay on for long (an hour, maybe less), performances were between a minute and three minutes long (mostly lasting less than two minutes) and she was basically ALL reverb and/or miming. I felt like walking out.

It seemed she was miming to a live vocal pretty much the whole time. (which made the fact she kept going off stage, despite no costume changes, a bit funny.) It's something I've heard about a lot, but never been good enough to pick up on it. I'm pretty sure Janet Jackson did when I saw her, but I was far back and didn't notice, she's kinda excused too cos she's not in her prime. People have said Cheryl Cole mimed with the Black Eyed Peas, but I don't remember noticing it or it wasn't so blatant. Every time I thought she might finally be singing, she'd take the microphone away from her mouth and 'sing' the same live sounding vocal she'd been singing with it close to her mouth. Awful.

see from 1:10 of that video to see what I mean.

I appreciated the setlist, but the fact she mimed and chopped the songs down to a verse and a chorus makes it a bitter experience. My videos make it look and sound like she was singing though, it's confusing!

The London date, at least, sold out apparently!

Just got back and I'm the opposite to Aaron  (or at least I didn't notice the miming thing.) I thought she pretty much smashed it. I do agree about the whole chopping the songs down to pretty much a verse then chorus.the first few songs I didn't mind, but after noticing her doing it for pretty much the whole setlist I was disappointed. 'Turn My Swag On' definitely received the best cheer of the night (I had to leave during 'All the Boys' - so i'm guessing I missed the song of ohnine - due to getting my last train. It annoys me though that I could have seen it all had they not pissed about with getting her on stage! (she wasn't on until 940) she looked bloody gorgeous too!

But yeah, when it comes to the chopping down of the songs I wasn't happy, but I enjoyed it, a lot so I don't care tbh. And i'm putting this down to it being her first proper headline tour so she maybe wanted to get in as much as possible. I'd imagine if she had another tour (this date didn't sell out but i'd say it was very close too!) then the setlist would be a lot neater and executed better.

(oh and Aaron when she went off stage and didn't change, I can't say it was that reason at all, as I went to see Lily Allen a couple of years ago and she did pretty much the same thing - didn't change oh and Kelly Clarkson too. :P)

If you watch the video I posted, I think you see evidence of the miming. Looking back on my videos in general, it does sound like she was singing but when I was there I kept noticing things like that. At one point she asked them to turn her reverb down though, so perhaps that's what made it seem rubbish. She could have been singing, but it wasn't a 'natural' voice. How close were you to the front?

I might have enjoyed it a bit more if I knew she was singing live, I understand that artists sometimes need to cut down their songs to fit more in, but it did seem like she was cutting them down because she's a lazy performer. I'd be foolish enough to see her again because she is in my top 10 favourite artists, she'd just have to do A LOT better to impress me.

I think "All The Boys" was literally the last song before "Knock You Down"! (the final song) She pretends to walk off stage, but stops and says she felt like she forgot something then she sings it. Just in case I'm wrong, I recorded pretty much every song of the gig (except "Lose Control" and the snippets of "Got Your Back", "The Way I Are" and "Number 1") sothey should be there under "aarongigvideos". (my old Youtube account got banned. all those videos gone. :()

I haven't watched your video yet as I literally commented on the train home, on my phone haha. I just think she had a backing track for the chorus as she seemed to move the mic away and then it was the studio recording (well to me it sounded like that) but then she got back into it. (Unless it was staged and the adverb technician was told to turn it back on at that point haha) Well that's how I saw it on your video, anyway  I do completely get you on the song thing. She tried to fit way too many songs in where it could have come off as sloppy and lazy. But I do think that if she gets to do another tour here, then hopefully it'll be more professionally done and put together.

I'll definitely see her again, as like you, she's in my top 10 artists and I was just in awe of her! And I KNEW that would happen :nocheer: 2 of my favourite Keri songs and I have to miss them for the stupid train! My friend will drive next time so that WON'T be happening again! But yeah I really, really enjoyed her!

Did 'Turn My Swag On' get a good reaction in London? I wasn't so shocked, but she was truly shocked at how popular it was  Then she thanked Cher for bringing it to the spotlight etc... everyone (bar me, naturally) booed! Then she stuck up for her and told people to leave her alone

Oh and I was pretty close to the front. I had about 3/4 rows of people in front of me.

To me it sounds (and sounded) like the same 'live' vocal throughout the song. The main vocal on the verses sounded the same as the vocal where her mouth isn't at the mic. It didn't sound like the studio vocal and it didn't sound different enough to what she'd previously been singing. It's a shame my camera was being unusually rubbish with the sound quality, it usually picks up a clear vocal. It's really hard to tell though. She was doing too well to be completely miming, but things like that (and the fact the vocal actually sounded pre-recorded) makes it a tough call. Watching my videos back, it sounds like she is singing live, but it didn't feel like that in the venue.

Yeah, I'd say "Turn My Swag On" got the biggest reaction of the night! I think more people were singing along to it than "Knock You Down", which kinda says how big it could have been if they'd sorted out a proper version on iTunes at the time. It might not have matched the success, but I'd say top 10 was a real possibility. She didn't mention Cher Lloyd though, she just said how she loves how people in London know how to turn their swag on. Ha!
