I think if the European Hot 100 comes back, they should play the #1 on that. Since the UK's sales contribute to that chart.

Or just use the 3-4 minutes to start the main countdown earlier, then they could play one more of the songs in the Top 40 rather than playing one twice.

Disappointed for Yasmin, really like 'On My Own' actually.. nothing exciting but quite good. Also she comes across as really nice & always tweets me :kink:
Yasmin has a really nice voice, but the song and production sounds dated. Maybe she should try appearing on hip hop tracks, she could be famous for singing the hook of some song

Are you not aware she first appeared in the chart as the feature on 'Runaway' by Devlin?

European top 100? That sounds interesting. Will they broadcast it in the UK?

I don't think so. I mean, it's been around for ages, and they've never played it on the radio, although I wish they would! At least the top 10. You get some interesting songs in there. :) These were last year's #1s:

But they suddenly stopped it at the end of 2010, for some reason. :(

Yasmin would have likely been top 20 it the song had been available to download straight away rather than wait for weeks.

With the Devlin connection I was assuming this was going to be some Urban/Hip Hop production, but not it is a pleasant simple pop-dance song. Not bad at all.

Yes, but the production on that song wasn't exactly hip-hop. And the song only peaked at 15. I'm saying she should be like Emeli Sande and stick to being a featured artist instead of trying to make it on her own (no pun intended)

What a shame, I can remember I was following the official Euro Hot 100 in the 90s but I stopped it. It was a bit difficult to get it, there were too many Euro charts appearing on the net and I never knew which one is the official.

Although Pink rose to prominence as an R&B singer in the classic '90s LaFace mould, a front displayed on her debut CAN'T TAKE ME HOME, it was when she took control of her own image in 2001 that she truly became an icon. While the Linda Perry (4 Non Blondes) composed hit "Get This Party Started" strayed not all that far from her initial dance-pop path, the remainder of M!SSUNDAZTOOD revealed an artist schooled in the punk tradition. Further recordings wandered down multiple paths, cementing Pink's reputation as a genre-bending pop songstress. - HMV

I think the European Hot 100 was considered the official one (at least since I started following it, in 2008, as that's the one people always referred to, like in the news, on wikipedia, etc.). But obviously, if it doesn't come back, I guess some other chart will take over. :(

I hope Happiness can stay in the top 40 until her new song is available. I stil llove this
A random thing I noticed while I was typing the Homegrown Top 40 chart for last week - last week half of the top 40 were by British artists. That's pretty good compared to how it is normally.
