February 11, 201114 yr she is obviously going to have a big hit with this, but is poor quality in comparrison to her last batch of singles is clear, so i would not be surprised if this era will be her last successful one. by the time her third album comes along people will be over her fugly face, tragic clothes and copycat music Are you serious? I can honestly see GaGa being successful for years yet...I'm no GaGa loon either. Everyone seems to have respect for her, not just your typical pop fans. Also whys everyone moaning about sounding similar to Madonna..Who f*cking cares, if you like the song you like the song! If you don't you don't! Songs are ripped off by other artists or sample other songs all the time! Edited February 11, 201114 yr by Mr. C. Joel
February 11, 201114 yr I'm really nervous to listen to this song, for some reason. :( When you finally listen to it, listen to it more than once. I (the biggest GAGA loon on Buzzjack) didn't like it on first listen, but after the third time, i thought it was AMAZING. :D
February 11, 201114 yr I'm normally against female pop and specifically female pop dominating the chart, so I understand that  Although I have a soft spot for Lady GaGa and also Rihanna when she doesn't attempt slow songs which she CANNOT do (Unfaithful aside). I also have no aversions to Katy Perry aside from her 2 dreadful lead singles. Sorry, starting to blab here. BTW is pretty good on first listen, not mind-blowing like the hype would suggest but what song could live up to that hype to be fair... it'll probably grow on me. I'd also say it's pretty good :) Not able to 'change lives' as a certain Perez Hilton said, but it is still a strong record. But whenever I think a song is very good on first listen, in the next few days, I start to a bit crazy about it! Sounds like a grower too :)
February 11, 201114 yr Yeah it definitely gets better the more you hear it. Also, may just be me but you start to realise it's not as generic as it first seems. You can really tell it has been cleverly put together and produced amazingly. Edited February 11, 201114 yr by Mr. C. Joel
February 11, 201114 yr Are you serious? I can honestly see GaGa being successful for years yet...I'm no GaGa loon either. Everyone seems to have respect for her, not just your typical pop fans. Also whys everyone moaning about sounding similar to Madonna..Who f*cking cares, if you like the song you like the song! If you don't you don't! Songs are ripped off by other artists or sample other songs all the time! With a lot of other artists's fanbases, they're like "Yeah, California Gurls does sound a bit like Tik Tok, to be fair", or "Yeah, Use Somebody and Sex on Fire do sound pretty much the same, but I still think they're great", or "Love the Way You Lie sounds like a less happy version of Aiplanes, but the lyrics are still great" or whatever, but in my experience, most Lady Gaga fans don't seem so open-minded. A lot of her fans say she's "revolutionized pop music", etc, which leads to people wanting to point out similarties to older songs all the time, whilst fans of, say, Katy Perry don't claim she's "the best thing to happen to pop music in 30 years", so people don't need to point that out to Katy Perry's fans, because they know it already. It's fair enough if people like her songs, but I think it's a bit unfair to give her such critical acclaim. Okay, I'll give the song a few listens before judging it. But I'm still not sure if I want to listen to it now, because I know I'll hear it hundreds of times in the next 6 months, and just incase I don't like it. :( Edited February 11, 201114 yr by Eric_Blob

Granted I haven't heard her album but surely they could have put MA on there instead of Right Thru Me...)

February 11, 201114 yr Basically that's how many times it has been played since it's release. The record spin debut was Britney's with just over 600 (HIAM). GaGa has over 1000 halfway through the day, if those numbers are to be believed. Edited February 11, 201114 yr by Darren-5-08
February 11, 201114 yr To be precise, HIAM got 619 spins first day. That's hilarious!! And I'm really childish. Onto the next thing, I'm shocked at how much it's being played in the US. I've not listened to the radio since midday, is it getting that much airplay here too? Also, has anybody heard it on Heart FM? I'm interested, because Heart FM pretty much NEVER play a song early, but since Lady Gaga is one of their favourite artists, I reckon they'll make an exception for this tbh. It's too big an opportunity for them to miss to be honest, even though they're quite stubborn about playing most other songs early (although Heart FM was actually the first station I heard What If by Jason Derulo on, which was even more shocking, because they'd pretended Jason didn't exist up until then!).
