February 21, 201114 yr I don't think the studio version is that emotional it's the live version at the BRITs where Adele is getting all emotional that got me. Plus I saw an interview with her backstage in which she said that the reason she was crying is because she knew the ex was watching it thinking "I've still got her wrapped around my little finger", or words to that effect. :o The poor girl, that made my heart sink. I shall listen to the song even more now with this new information in mind. brb crying x

February 21, 201114 yr Coldplay - The Scientist is the only song which makes me feel like wanting to cry in a good way. There are two other songs that make me upset but for bad reasons: Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars because it was on the TV when I first found out that my cat had been run over and he had to be put down the next day (the lyrics also somewhat relate to the incident which makes it worse). I'm actually almost in tears even writing about this. My cat's death was the first major tragedy of my life. Bloc Party - The Prayer, also because it was on the TV when I first found out about something, this time when I found out my granddad was in hospital after having a stroke and he was also diagnosed with Alzheimer's shortly after this. The lyrics don't really relate to the incident here but this song still brings back those bad memories. Edited February 21, 201114 yr by Bray
February 21, 201114 yr Mariah Carey 'Hero' & Britney Spears 'Everytime'. 'Everytime' was released at a very tough time in my early teens. I relate these songs to quite possibly the most tragic thing to ever happen to me so far. One of my best friends died (she was only 14) and these were pretty much the only songs I would listen to. ('Hero' was her favourite song) Kelly Clarkson 'Sober'. Everything about it is beautiful and haunting! It's the only song, where I don't have a personal tragedy or anything to connect this with, where I genuinely get shivers down my spine and some spine tingling moments each and everytime I hear it.
February 21, 201114 yr Yes, KC's 'Sober' and Snow Patrol's 'Chasing Cars' are songs that always get me emotional

Completely agree with this one! Not all these would make me cry, but sad etc: The Source feat. Candi Staton - You Got The Love (One of my favourite songs ever, just amazing) Sigur Rós - Untitled 3 (So stunning the way it builds up) Adele - Hometown Glory (Beautiful, deserved to chart much higher) Leona Lewis - Alive (Gorgeous track from 'Echo') Athlete - Wires Charlotte Church - Even God (They used this on Hollyoaks for Mandy's exit back in 2006 and it fit perfectly) The Verve - The Drugs Don't Work Snow Patrol - The Finish Line Foreigner - I Want To Know What Love Is P!nk - I Don't Believe You (I was a bit obsessed with this for a while!) Dido - Here With Me (My favourite of hers) Texas - Put Your Arms Around Me Annie Lennox - Why That's enough for now, may add more later! Edited February 21, 201114 yr by Chris_2k11
