iTunes Popularity Bars

It has happened in part already (i.e. the climb from its lowest position of 54) due to the debut of the video online.

 

The next part will be through repeated TV Airplay, which won't have kicked in yet as the video only debuted Friday morning online and won't have hit mainstream high rotation TV Airplay yet. I'd imagine the TV Airplay effect will really start kicking in today, tomorrow & Thursday - should return it top 20 on iTunes with ease.

Why are you measuring the pixels? They're all the same size, right? :unsure:

 

Or do you mean you *count* the number of pixels in each popularity bar?

 

Surely an easier way would be to just put a ruler against the screen and calculate the same quotient as you would with the numbers you obtain from the pixel count?

It would probably be quicker to just get a ruler but I can't find one :P I just move the pop bars to the top left corner in MS Paint, move the right side so it's touching the end of the bar (if that makes sense) then go to Image -> Attributes and it tells you the width in pixels.

 

In the latest update Jessie J has gained a bit on Adele, up to 55% (+2.5%). (Adele on 981 pixels, Jessie on 540, to be exact)

I've converted to millimetres and Adele (combined) is currently 111 millimetres ahead of Jessie J!

 

Adele - 246mm

 

Jessie J - 135mm

So Jessie is now gaining - 55% of Adele's (single) bar, up from 52/53% in last update.
