November 27, 201113 yr Maybe I'm being totally pessimistic but I doubt we'll even get a 4th single to be perfectly honest.
November 27, 201113 yr For god sake, calm down everyone. Ideally it's not the result that we wanted but can you please stop being negative. I am sure (depending on promotion) it will outsell headlines and wordshaker. They need to release single 4 ASAP! And nice to see Saturdays having true fans by giving up on them because it has underperformed.
November 27, 201113 yr I think they will get another single! I think they should change from Faster to The Way You Watch Me, because I think that the fact it features Travie will get it more airplay than a song that was just them. Also, it is a better song and would maybe make casual music fans listen up, all it takes is one good song for someone to listen to an album, and I think that people would want to buy it if they actually heard the songs that haven't been released!
November 27, 201113 yr Time to support Little Mix. The Saturdays ... who? Ha, so you're ditching The Sats not because of their music, but because of a charting position? Bye then! :D I'm sure Little Mix are gonna be overjoyed to have a 'fan' like you. Edited November 27, 201113 yr by Encore

November 27, 201113 yr Lol! no freaking way. Sweet 7 needed more than 3 weeks in the top100 to get 19k sales in total...and On Your Radar is going to sell that in their first week, and no need to say that the tour and the next singles will make the album stay in the charts at least more than three weeks, so there is no chance of this doing worse than that album. i just knew saturdays fans will mention s7, why don't we compare this to sugababes 4th album?! Taller in more ways #1 +900 000 On your radar #23 + 17 000 i love saturdays but your post is too stupid
November 27, 201113 yr Actually it was me who started it. Now please let's not start another girl group war, that wasn't my intention at all...
November 27, 201113 yr Oh shock horror, the Sugababes loons simply must bring up past glories.... They're past it and more now, as are probably The Saturdays. What they did 6 years ago is irrelevant.
November 27, 201113 yr Taller in more ways #1 +900 000 On your radar #23 + 17 000 Comparing OYR's first week sales (not that I think the total will end up much higher!!) with an album's total sales which was released 6 years ago and also had a re-release. Where's the logic in that? Edited November 27, 201113 yr by Neil
November 27, 201113 yr From memory Taller debuted with about 55k. There's no comparison. Sugababes in their heyday were a beloved pop institution in this country. The Sats have never made that kind of impact with the general public.
November 27, 201113 yr The album does NOT deserve the chart position that it has achieved. But I'm thinking/hoping that this will no be the peak of the album. It desearves to be at least top 10 as I keep saying. We as fans need to keep the faith and make sure the album does not fade away into pop obscurity. Will be interesting to see the sales, but I think we need to keep optimistic and make sure we don't write off the girls!
November 27, 201113 yr Album sales 6 years ago were much, much higher though, it's an unfair comparison.
November 28, 201113 yr Complete and utter disaster. :( I don't have much faith in this being salvageable.
November 28, 201113 yr Usually I would be all like this is over, It depends how The Saturdays deal with this. Maybe this could be a good thing? Wake up call for the management? They need to release a video for single 4 in the next two weeks and release the song to radio, promote it when they have spare time, even a Dancing On Ice performance would help them. Although If Ego & Higher could only scrape top 10, I fear for Faster.
November 28, 201113 yr so sad that it didnt even make the top 20, especially when its such a strong album :( praying something is done to save the album.

Although If Ego & Higher could only scrape top 10, I fear for Faster. How could they film and release a video in the next 2 wks when they're on tour and travelling up and down the country for pretty much the whole month, and then it's Christmas/New Year? Unless they released a video of the new single being performed on tour, perhaps... #23 is disastrous. :( Gutted for the girls. Not sure anything can salvage this, it'll plummet down the charts now and out the top 40 this week I guess. Totally clueless as to what they do at the start of the new year, after the tour. I think they've run out of lives and chances now. Edited November 28, 201113 yr by Encore
November 28, 201113 yr This will probably sound absurd, but does anyone else think that maybe the album cover itself put casual buyers off, when sat on the shelf amongst the other releases? I like the album cover but to casual buyers the girls might have looked a bit 'cold' or dull? Their past album covers have been much brighter, less serious and 'poppy' looking - this cover is a bit of a drastic difference - a bit too fierce looking? I don't know, I know it probably sounds ridiculous but it crossed my mind earlier anyway. :P (I'm not saying that the album cover is the only factor responsible for this selling only 18k nor am I making excuses). I still think the All Fired Up cover should have been the album cover, keeping in with their traditional bright colours theme but still in the mature/grown up direction that they seemingly wanted this era. November 28, 201113 yr Album sales 6 years ago were much, much higher though, it's an unfair comparison. But positions speak for themselves too ... The big mistake was not to release it on the back of "All fired up", I really don't know what was on their mind.
