Wiz  49. Still don't think it's enough for top 10 though :)

Up to #47 now!!! :cheer: Should chart top 40 next week. :)

Not sure why they didnt bring Nicole's release date forward, especially after her performance slot on Dancing on Ice, guaranteed top 10 I think, getting good support, not sure about radio though..

Brtiney should get to #11 soon, and Price Tag is down to #9.

What a crazy update since I last saw it (before I went to work at 3PM!). Hype Squad is still climbing despite Wiz being available (and shockingly flopping - well not living up to the hype!) :o 'Who You Are' climbing  and 'Marry You' at #34?!?! Glee really have helped this a lot. MUST be the next single!
I agree that the big names like Christina and Britney seem to think that simply recording a song and just releasing it to radio will make it successful. You can have the best track ever made but if no one hears it then no one will buy it.

FFS, why are The Hype Squad CLIMBING? Hurry up Wiz!

Did someone say earlier that Jessie was up to 90% or so of Adele or am I just imagining that? If so she's now dropped significantly to 81.2%. I think Adele will hold out actually. The album version of SLY is literally 2 pixels less than the top 3 versions of PT combined and they'll surely drop a bit over the week, so Adele will be safe regardless of how far the BRITs version falls.

Of course, there are a few other factors to consider - obviously Jessie finally has a physical for PT which *could* sell well enough to overcome the deficit. And I'm not sure about the situation with other download sites - could someone post the positions of PT and SLY on other sites please? And of course Jessie is slightly closer when combining in her fourth version (currently #138) but Adele has a third version in the top 200 as well (#186) and the pop bars are both so close and so small down there that it makes very little difference, I'd be surprised if that would change Jessie's percentage by more than 0.5%.

I've pretty much ruled out Wiz going to #1 this week now, he's climbing WAY too slowly. Just hoping it doesn't miss the top 10 now because for it to miss the top 10 after having a fake chart at #35 would be completely ridiculous. Although of course the way things are going at the moment the bloody Hype Squad are going to actually climb this week :(

Adele for forth week in a row, it's WAY better than PG, and yeah... she increased again :)

Listening to The Hype Squad on the chart show yesterday... it sounds like a remix of Wiz Khalifa in all but name?

That's exactly what is is.

It resulted in a rare actually quite funny Reggie moment on the chart show when he made a 'Hype Squad remix' of Avril Lavigne's What The Hell by just making some drum noises over the top of it.

...it was funnier when it happened.

It's Black and Yellow with an extra percussion loop in, basically.

The iTunes feed doesn't seem to have changed for me since last night, so it might be falling now, but is Hype Squad's cheaper than the original? Or perhaps people genuinely think it sounds better? Or maybe since nobody really knows Wiz yet, some of the people who bought the song genuinely think it's by the Hype Squad, and they're going around telling their friends that, who will also search for and buy the Hype Squad version.

If you go on youtube, google, etc. and type in Black and Yellow, Hype Squad does appear in the auto-fill drop down list that comes up, so people have been searching for it...

Doesn't help either that Reggie said on Radio 1 the song isn't out until next Sunday. :drama:

New albums on iTunes Albums top 40:

3. Last Night On Earth - Noah and the Whale

4. Build a Rocket Boys! (Deluxe Version) - Elbow

8. Build a Rocket Boys! - Elbow

11. Goodbye Lullaby (Deluxe Edition) - Avril Lavigne

16. You'll Be Mine - EP - The Pierces

19. Lasers (Deluxe Version) - Lupe Fiasco

28. Collapse Into Now - R.E.M.

29. Early In the Morning - James Vincent McMorrow

32. Beth Ditto - EP - Beth Ditto

33. Pictures EP - Benjamin Francis Leftwich

39. Goodbye Lullaby - Avril Lavigne

Didn't realise Last Night On Earth was out this week, I wonder if it'll chart higher than Elbow officially? This era has been a big flop for Elbow, the single didn't get playlist on R1 or R2 and it missed the top 100.

Oh and 21 is still #1 :D With the bonus version of Who You Are at #2 and the regular version still at #5. I think the top 2 albums will be unchanged next week.

SO HOPING ELBOW will be number 1 but they doesn't have any chance so hoping they will be number 2 at least, great album.

Given Elbow have two top 10 entries and there's only one version of Noah I'm guessing probably not on iTunes. Elbow is number 2 on Amazon behind Adele, R.E.M 5 and Noah 8. I really hope it can still go at least number two, they certainly deserve it....
