I doubt the George Michael one will do much. Have you guys actually heard it? I like George a lot but it's atrocious! A total insult to the brilliant original.

So really, at best there'll only be three Comic Relief songs buzzing around at the top really.

I heard it on Capital a while ago. Didn't really like it tbh.

The George Michael one will be lucky to make the top 40, I can see Take That going top 10, The Wanted top 5 and I have no idea about Susan Boyle lol

The Wanted will go at least #2. Possibly #1. As SuBo & Peter Kay are released the week after next they have a good chance at #1. No idea about Take That, possibly top 3/5?

Nicole is out midnight, isn't she? Hopefully 'Don't Hold Your' Breath' would go Top 5

I can't wait for her album

Why is Leona Lewis - Run gone up so high?
Why is Leona Lewis - Run gone up so high?

Not sure. Is it one of the songs that have been decreased to 59p?

And Rolling in the Deep up to #9!

Yes, it's 59p.

But that doesn't explain why All of the Lights has shot (back) up so much in the last couple of days. Like on Wednesday it was #70-something, now it's #40 again? Have I missed something? Not that I'm complaining - it just seems very random when I would have expected it to go into terminal decline now (as it was starting to)...

I've got no idea why it's climbed so much but hopefully that means it still might make the top 40 officially at some point. It's ridiculous that it hasn't gone top 40 so far (along with 'Runaway'). :(

I really can't understand why it hasn't done better. It's a fantastic song for starters. Not to mention it's got Rihanna on a lot of the song. I mean like seriously? Why is nobody buying it? I would've thought any song with Rihanna on would be guaranteed at least top 40 these days on cherry-picking alone, but whatever. :(

I mean, I can understand some of his other songs not doing well, not because they're not good (because they are good), but I don't think they're that commercial for the UK, but All of the Lights is something I imagined being a big hit here. I mean, if Run This Town could get to #1, it does baffle me that All of the Lights is struggling for top 40...

well at least with so many comic relief songs there will be some more movement in the charts :P I mean I know a 5 week number 1 means its genuinely popular etc. but frankly I prefer fast moving charts as its more exciting :D

I didn't know about that Take That song- I guess it will go top 5 with Peter and Susan at number 1, The Wanted will either be number 1 or 2, depending on how well Adele holds up

Yeah, it's pretty baffling. I thought it would be a top 10 hit, but clearly it wasn't meant to be :( But to be honest, I don't think releasing the video so late helped, and then a video that doesn't exactly lend itself well to normal music channel play (although I have no doubt it being slightly controversial helped it to climb faster than it would have if the video was more normal)...

Also, it probably would have done better if it was the 1st single off the album. After two commercial flop singles here, radio stations would have been much more reluctant to support All of the Lights no matter how good it is. Sad, but these days if you don't have a hit with the 1st single off an album then everything else from the album is screwed in most cases. It really sucks that it's like that, but oh well!

But yes, please stay in the top 40 this time! Otherwise Kanye will probably win the award for #41-75 peaker that should have been top 40 for the second year in a row, after the aforementioned Runaway's tragic flop :nocheer:

To be fair, Basshunter spent 5 weeks at #1 a few years ago, I think.

Tell me about it. Absolute tragedy.

Hopefully if E.T. becomes really popular then Kanye's songs after that might get more radio support. :(

well, it was popular at the time :P

the 2007- mid 2008 period were deathly slow- especially Umbrella there for ten sodding weeks followed by Leona there for seven!

about Kanye, I'm not sure- I guess he's just not that popular in the UK atm or maybe AOTL didn't receive a lot of promotion asides from a video

Gosh, yeah. Looking back at 2008, it was Leon Jackson, then Basshunter, then Duffy, then Estelle/Kanye West, then BAM. A third of the year is over.

@Bray

Britney IS flopping this era. She won't promote TTWE in the UK and the video release will do very little (look at HIAM). She'll be lucky to go top 20 with TTWE, it's a right shame.

Yes, it's 59p.

I've started seeing the video on music channels quite frequently over the past few days..

Really? I didn't think it was getting any video rotation at all! It wasn't even the top 100 on the TV airplay chart last week according to this :o

But this is really good if true. Call me delusional perhaps but the fact that it's risen so much from music channel rotation suggests there's still hope for it peaking yet :D

Click the rolling button. It's top 100 there now.

Nicole Scherzinger has GOT TO GO TO NUMBER 1!

HER ALBUM IS AWSEOME !
