What will happen is there will be 10 rounds, the first being 1990, then 1991 etc. up to round 10 which will be 1999. After the 10 rounds, the top 4 from every year will then be put together for one final rate which will make up a top 40 of the decade. How you rate the songs; you do not rate every song that hit number one, you just rate your ten favourites and your least favourite. You give +15 points to your favourite song, and the rest are as follows; This is to hopefully stop ties from happening inside the top 3. +15 Favourite Song +12 2nd Favourite Song +10 3rd Favourite Song +08 4th Favourite +06 5th Favourite +05 6th Favourite +04 7th Favourite +03 8th Favourite +02 9th Favourite +01 10th Favourite -02 Least Favourite, or Most Hated depending on what way you look at it These are the songs you need to rate from. You have 2 days for every round to rate. This means the deadline is Monday morning and hopefully round 5 (1994) will be up on then. The deadline may be shortened so get your votes in ASAP 1. 2 Unlimited ‘No Limit’ (4-2-1-1-1-1-1-2-4-5-8-10-18-24-43-60-x) (16 weeks) 2. March 12, 201114 yr Author +15 2 Unlimited "No Limit" 90s Dance +12 Culture Beat "Mr Vain" I like these two songs the same, but NL needs more help as I can see lots of points for MV +10 Take That feat. Lulu "Relight My Fire" +08 Take That "Pray" Hard choosing which of these TT songs I like more, but I've always liked RMF even before I heard Pray +06 Ace Of Base "All That She Wants" +05 Gabrielle "Dreams" +04 DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince "Boom! Shake The Room" +03 George Michael & Queen "Five Live - EP" +02 Mr Blobby "Mr Blobby" One of the worst songs ever written - so bad its good +01 The Bluebells "Young At Heart" -02 UB40 "(I Can't Help) Falling In Love With You" Am definitely NOT a fan of UB40. It seems the most boring out of the list. Meat Loaf almost gets the -2 because all his other songs (Bat Out of Hell etc.) are much better and the song he has on this list sounds boring.
March 12, 201114 yr +15 Freddie Mercury - Living On My Own +12 Gabrielle - Dreams +10 Ace Of Base - All That She Wants +08 2 Unlimited - No Limit +06 Culture Beat - Mr Vain +05 Bluebells - Young At Heart +04 Shaggy - Oh Carolina +03 Take That - Pray +02 UB40 - Can't Help Falling In Love With You +01 Meatloaf - I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) -02 George Michael/Queen/Lisa Stansfield - Five Live EP
March 12, 201114 yr Excellent, didn't expect Tasmin Archer to go further! She'll probably finish dead last in the final though :drama: +15 Take That ‘Pray’ +12 Ace of Base ‘All That She Wants’ +10 Culture Beat ‘Mr Vain’ +8 2 Unlimited ‘No Limit’ +6 Take That feat Lulu ‘Relight My Fire’ +5 The Bluebells ‘Young At Heart’ +4 Gabrielle ‘Dreams’ +3 Take That ‘Babe’ +2 Meat Loaf ‘I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That) +1 UB40 ‘(I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You’ -2 George Michael and Queen with Lisa Stansfield ‘Five Live – EP’ Difficult, I love the whole top six! Take That and Ace of Base are two of my favourite bands ever but I slightly prefer Pray to All That She Wants, definitely one of my favourite 90's singles of theirs.
March 12, 201114 yr +15: UB40 '(I Can't Help) Falling In Love With You' +12: The Bluebells 'Young At Heart' +10: Meat Loaf 'I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)' +08: 2 Unlimited 'No Limit' +06: DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince 'Boom! March 12, 201114 yr Now this is a crap year! Nothing I really love here, but a few I like... +15 Gabrielle - Dreams Lovely song, but in any other year it wouldn't come close to top really +12 Culture Beat - Mr Vain Great 90s dance song, corny rap aside. Far prefer it to 2 Unlimited tbh... +10 Meat Loaf - I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) I do like this but I can't listen to it often for obvious reasons. Still, not hard to see why it was so big +8 The Bluebells - Young At Heart +6 Freddie Mercury - Living On My Own +5 George Michael and Queen with Lisa Stansfield - Five Live – EP +4 Take That - Pray +3 UB40 - (I Can’t Help) Falling In Love With You +2 2 Unlimited - No Limit +1 Mr Blobby - Mr Blobby Thank you for keeping the song below off Xmas #1, Blobby! -2 Take That - Babe Utterly dire. I don't mind most of their 90s singles but this was truly scraping the barrel, only getting to #1 at all because anything they put their name would have back in this little stretch Edited March 12, 201114 yr by superbossanova

March 12, 201114 yr Whitney finished in the red zone :D None of the qualifiers offend me greatly as I've only even heard 'Stay', 'Rhythm Is A Dancer' and 'Would I Lie To You?' and I like all of them. March 12, 201114 yr 1993  the year that I started to follow the charts! The year that I started my chart. March 12, 201114 yr You don't know 'No Limit' by 2 Unlimited? :o Surely that's one song everyone knows - whether you love it or loathe it is another matter. :P Or you do hate it but not as much as Ace Of Base. Where's the Eurolove? :( I have never heard No Limit. A look at the lyrics re-asserts that as I'm not familiar with any of them.
March 12, 201114 yr You're not missing anything with 2 Unlimited anyway. I always thought it was a load of absolute noise. Culture Beat was similar but at least they had a decent melody as well (in my opinion, of course) - hence why I far prefer it! I agree that All That She Wants is TERRIBLE. And could they have been any more desperate combining europop and reggae crossover (two genres that were quite popular at the time) to get a hit? Honestly. I thought Ace of Base were quite good in the late 90s though (basically when the UK started shunning them )
