8 weeks top 10 and 7 of those in top 5, Rolling in the Deep has been HUGE, with massive sales to back it up too, and ofcourse the lead single to one of the most successful albums i've seen in my lifetime, an album going down in music history. SLY still #1 i'm predicting too (pretty obvious ) :w00t:

I really didn't get Happiness but this is really growing on me.
Most of the songs in the top 10 this week have been there for ages...
More like let the advertisers decide what the play!

And the big record companies

it is a laziness though they dont care about muic in comparision to radio 1.for all the complainers and they are right to complain if it wasnt for radio 1 the charts would be alot more dull and americanised imo.thats the thing with capital they are a private commercial company where profits are everything so quality is lower.just like itv in comparision to bbc - public vs private - public for me everytime.god help us when david cameron gets his privatising hands on the nhs - POLITICAL RANT OVER!!!!!

True.

But you do realize, if Radio 1 didn't exist, another radio station would appear and fill the void.

I listen to Radio 1 a lot (particularly 1Xtra). I really like it. But I prefer Capital, since there's more music and less talking, they rarely play random songs from 5 years ago, and Radio 1 seem to have a list of artists which they will ALWAYS play, and another list of artists that they will NEVER play. Capital don't do that. They just play what's popular, whoever it is. If Rihanna's next few songs flopped, they'd stop playing her.

Chris Brown around this position for ages...

Wiz Khalifa is top 5 :D Hopefully he's made #4. Still underperformed quite severely but hopefully it'll at least have some longevity and decent sales in the long run.

It won't go down in music history really (not especially) - there were alot of bigger albums in the 90s and 00s to compare plus 7 weeks at #1 is not that unusual if you look back over the years :P

6  (from 8) Chris Brown - Yeah 3x [D]

I hope In The Air is as big as Champion. I love Keri's vocals on it but I don't think it will do that well as the verses are quite strange and not as commercial as Champion. I do really like In The Air though
I think I prefer "Happiness" more. But only slightly. I'm just glad pop like this can still make the charts
Yeah x3 is amazing  I much prefer Chris Browns music to Rihannas at the mo :cheer:
#35 for this song is so unjustified, it's fantastic. :( :(
The single just didn't work at all.

The promotion for it had been rubbish with them only performing on 'Lets dance and Comedy Rocks' that would make much differance

Other TV show Performances included Daybreak and OK Tv (which hardly anyone watches anyway)

The Band forgot the single was out due to Dougie and his illness and with Tour dates being moved due to Dougie being rehab also affected their plans.

I would have pulled the single and moved it till the end of March/early april but i guess that was too late

Love ;Thats The truth' but it's an odd choice of single as it's more of an album track and there's better stuff on the album anyway

i disagree, i would rather radio 1 existed rather than a private company like capital - at least the bbc is accountable to the taxpayer.rihanna would get played by capitakl for a fair while yet, shes one of 'the'pop stars of this chart era....she would continue to be played for a fair while after her first flop.and the songs radio 1 playlist and play loads are all mainly 'indie' artist that dont necessarily chart in the top 10 but they play them because if they just played the stuff that goes top 10/20 they would be playing the same genre of music - rnb/pop/dance all the time there would be no indie/alt on the radio!! :(

BLACK AND YELLOW, BLACK AND YELLOW, BLACK AND YELLOW, BLACK AND YELLOW!!!!!!!!!!!
