That's where the contribution to CR will come from. Its a DVD/CD isn't it - and this is appreciated for the video as much as the song (Susan's ever expanding hair and the bit where she's getting smaller on the escalator!) It makes more money for CR for 1,000 to sell at £3.99 than 1,000 at 79p (or whatever a download is). I doubt those behind CR care about chart position - it'll be the money for the cause that counts.

When it comes to Peter Kay, he has a knack of knowing how to sell DVD/CD singles. It's similar to when he did the Children In Need Medley for Children In Need - the video was absolute genius getting old the old cartoon characters together - and it went on to sell 100+ for two weeks. I'm not sure if Susan Boyle & Geraldine will have the same selling power but perhaps one week at #1 is possible. It could end up rocketing down the charts though like 'Barry Islands In The Stream did two years ago with a defining "non #1" chart run of 01-03-23-OUT. :kink:

ok...I used to love JLo esp her earlier dance/ pop songs then started to think from like 2005-2010 she was just worn out, washed up and nothing more than a flop machine. But between the buzz from AI and quality beats of On The Floor , I think she REALLY deserves #1 1000x more than Nicole Schit$h!tger did this week lmao

THIS

I loved JLo until Rebirth era and that awful Get Right! But On The Floor definitely deserves number 1!

Well, I half agree with that (the female, singing half, of course). ;)

Yet another song I'll have to do some snippage on, before it'll get on my iPod...

Because we've all been suffering withdrawal symptoms due to the lack of charting urban songs, recently?

Why do you hate rap so much?

Pitbull's rap really adds something to On The Floor.

There is a no-rap radio edit floating around if you can't be mature enough to have rap on your ipod.

2007 she sure wasn't worn out, Brave and Como ama una Mujer are incredible albums and make up for Rebirth :P

Great to see Flux Pavilion doing so well :D IKHSW doesn't really need to be high on iTunes to get #1, in its second week at #1 his CIN Medley was never even top 100 IIRC.

Glad to see Ke$ha and Cee-Lo Green doing well ^_^ I don't think 'Blow' is 'officially' released for another month.

First of all, I didn't even *mention* the word 'rap'...

Pitbull's rap really adds something to On The Floor.
Such as?

There is a no-rap radio edit floating around if you can't be mature enough to have rap on your ipod.

Were the final 12 words of that really necessary?

In any case, 'maturity' has nothing to do with it - it's *my* iPod, so why shouldn't I decide not to put music I don't like on it? After all, surely you decide to put only music you like, on yours?

As for the rap-free versions, I shall certainly be looking for them, but it's not always obvious which is which from the credits, and the 30 second clips you can play before buying aren't always sufficient to make sure it's the version you want.

I've tracked down the non-rap version of OTF - it is superiously better to the Pitfull version IMO - but if people like it/ dont like doesn't make them mature or immature.

Adele's gap is big with the 2 versions combined... fifth week? :)

I doubt it - not with IKHSW out

Prob mean though that if Nicole does get number 1 this afternoon - she's likely to fall to at least 4 next week

Do you have the precise name of the mix, please?

I wouldn't rule Nicole out of number 1 next week 100%, by getting number one she will get more radio play/tv airplay. Don't Hold your breath will be cherrypicked next week from the album and she's promoting her album here next week so she will be all over radios. But i do think Peter Kay will get number one.. just don't think Nicole will drop as much as expected.

I think Nicole will be number one as Wanted/Adele did not have a big enough gap.. Wanted will drop to around 5 next week though.
