Take That's songs are so formulaic. I feel like I've heard them a million times when I've only heard them once or twice. Yawn.
Could be Diana Vickers. Although I can't imagine what she'd be doing at Radio 1. They don't seem to have had anything to do with her since The Boy Who Murdered Love...
Eugh, not this f***ing song. I hear it about five times a day without fail thanks to Heart FM being played at work.

A surprisingly decent chart run for Take That, I was expecting it to look more like 31-28-xx; so making it five weeks has left me rather happy; it's a far better song than The Flood and the video is pretty much amazing.

I reckon it'll get two more weeks out of the chart, although "Happy Now" entering next week may improve its chart position and hopefully get it's peak a little bit nearer to the top 25.

Fed up with Forget you now.
'Flop' is a *relative* term, not an absolute one. You can have flop #1s. They're not flops, they're flop #1s. Different thing.

Only here do you hear about "flop number ones" and "non number ones". Complete nonsense. In no way can a number one be considered anything near a flop.

The hyperbole of some people around hear bugs me. One word where something is professed to be less than perfect and it gets termed "hate" etc.

It's so weird that this song is #2 in the USA and it's been on their chart longer than it's been on our chart.

I hear it so much on Heart, and I barely ever listen to it (since I skip through stations, and will only listen to Heart if they're playing a song that I like, which is a rarity ).

Yeah, it's pretty insane! :o

f*** You

It will be funny if this go to Hot 100 #1 ages after it has been here!

also 'fail' number 1s I think is quite significant, their technically not 'fails', but will people still remember them as number 1s in ten years time or even one year's time? unlikely, whereas number 1s and songs with longevity have more of a chance to be remembered, so in this sense, they are 'non' number 1s

Thank god that Cee-Lo crap is over :puke: Just awful! Oh, and I was wrong on Chart Numbers then :(
Just hope Parade are top 10.
Yay, All Of The Lights

Yeah. It's unusual when an American song gets to #1 in the UK so long before in the US! :o

I guess there's Break Your Heart, where there was a similar gap, but that was a British song (that sounded American ), so that was understandable.

FFS, I'm *not* calling them a flop for the last time. A 'flop' and a 'flop #1' are completely different things. A flop #1 is just a #1 that sold less or hung around for a shorter time than most other #1s. If we take the highest selling #1 of all time (Elton's Diana tribute) and the lowest selling #1 of all time (Ja Rule's Wonderful) Wonderful is definitely a flop in comparison.

Kanye at #32, hopefully this will continue to climb so Kanye finally earns a decent chart position from MBDTF.
