Bray, i totally get that, however i think saying its fallen fast isnt justified as its been top 40 on iTunes since mid-feb so its been around for a long time, AND has the #1 version of course. The examples of Glee and Gold Forever werent relevant imo. Anyways doesnt matter we get eachother

The amount of time that it has spent in the Top 40 is irrelevant. The point that is being made is that the track is falling fast as it has fallen from #11 to #39 in a few days. Which is fast. I think everyone has now grasped this point except you.

But do you understand? :P

^ Well, Sweat never left the top 10, but yeah, I'm happy it's climbing! :D I think David Guetta's song with Nicki Minaj and Flo Rida could be a massive hit when it's released too.

Guys, sorry for using that "Is that difficult to understand" comment. I've either started a trend, or everybody is making fun of me.

 @ this whole Adele debate. I understand that it's fallen fast only very recently, before it was falling just as most songs do, then Comic Relief gave it a wee boost, and that's exactly why she's fallen so fast, even she can't keep up massive sales of two versions of one song!

I've started a bit of a debate here

 Its hardly 'falling quickly', the performance was back in February and its remained in the top 40 since then, + it's #1 on Sunday for a 5th week

SLY is going to spend a crazy amount of weeks in top 10.

to explain my quote: at the beginning of the week I saw the *live* version at 11, I just saw it earlier at 39, thats a very quick fall and I was quite surprised it had fallen that fast

I'm not talking about the studio version- that has nothing to do with it, that of course isn't falling quickly

I don't care how long its been there- 11-39 is a very quick fall, like it or not, and of course I know why this is, radio's will obviously play the normal version rather than the BRITs one and the BRITs hype has now gone- hence me saying 'it was expected'

we clear?

Well, didn't La Roux have two versions of In For the Kill in the top 20 for ages back in 2009?

Okay, I'll stop there.

Also, didn't the Live version of SLY get a price cut? Which is another part of the reason why it climbed all the way back to #11 last week?

One of them was a remix. In this case the other version is live, so not much difference (I couldn't say that about many female pop artists)

I don't care how fast Someone Like You is falling. I just want it to leave the top spot asap :(

Radio/TV Airplay and the fact that my friends have jumped on the Adele bandwagon with comments like "Omg she is the best singer ever" have killed the song for me

Well yes she is the best singer ever ATM, but IMO Lady GaGa, J-Lo, Jessie J and Rihanna's songs are more listenable. ADELE would win a pure singing competition (with no autotune etc.) but the artists I mention earlier have made better songs for me (you can dance and party to all of them) No offence to ADELE, her song is great but is not my favourite

I still like Someone Like You. But yeah, I'd like it to fall to #2 again.

The people I work this were even talking about her the other day, and I was like :o! They're all like 40 years old, and I'm the only teenager there, so they talk about slightly different music to what I want to talk about (and they're always making cutting remarks about RnB music, I don't know how I have kept my mouth shut all this time tbh ), so to hear them talk about a current artist that wasn't around 20 years ago really shocked me, even though it's Adele. She's huge if the people at work are talking about her! :o

Well yeah, it's not all about the live vocals, or else I don't think many people would like Rihanna. :(

Do you reckon when Someone Like You gets its single release, it'll have some remixes on there!?

No29- Chris Brown ft Justin Bieber/ Next To You

No31- Rebecca Black/ Friday

No186- Adele/ Set Fire To The Rain

 This debate is hilarious, and so many people have joined, okay we'll leave it at we all understand eachother?

Set Fire To The Rain  This needs to be on radio and a video out in April please. (Even though SLY is still #1 and RITD still top 10 and 21 isnt budging from #1 on album chart, or 19 for that matter, but i just want it on radio, tv and the charts  More likely out in May?)

well, you're the only one that needs to understand what I'm saying- if you do and simply realise that the original post wasn't intending to start all this then yes we will :D

haha No I do, I do. :P It happens so many times one comment turns in to a debate

Well I'm happy with SLY being #1 for so long, however I think J-Lo will get #1 on Sunday afternoon/evening, or JCGE may knock it off tomorrow evening..

I still love it as much as ever, but all the FB statuses are annoying, especially when my friends moaned she's rubbish when I was obsessed with Rolling In The Deep <_<

Ha at Rebecca Black! Forget 'the weekend effect', she has her very own 'Friday effect' :D
