Maybe Michael Buble?

Not really sure about Michael Buble, I think most of his fans bought his album last year, would people actually buy a second copy of it, its already sold buckets.

Yeah maybe. I think a week over 100k could be doable though if he's got more promotion coming up.

Bruno looks like the only new release capable of it now, although I'm yet to be convinced given that "Locked Out Of Heaven" wasn't off to the best of starts before the X Factor.
Whoevers in the XF final could do it and Buble/ Rod Stewart have xmas specials on the sunday night of xmas week i think?!

Seeing as we'll finally be adding to this on Sunday!
When you edit One Direction in, could you also please edit "Those with an Asterix" to "Those with an asterisk" please?
Merci beaucoup! It's just one of those things that bugs me

Didn't any of the NOWs between 1 & 13 or any of The HITS between 1 & 9 pass 200,000 sales in their one week sales when compilations charted in the album chart?

Just looking at that list again, what an absolute mammoth of a sales week 30/12/2000 was:

8 30/12/2000 1 The Beatles 422,042

39 30/12/2000 Coast To Coast Westlife 305,247 *

42 30/12/2000 Sing When You're Winning Robbie Williams 295,802 *

75 30/12/2000 Music Madonna 245,911 *

Astounding sales for the No. 4 album that week :o

Yeh I remember it, it was a phenomenal week imagine selling 295k and not being No1 or No2

The peak of album sales surely?!

Perhaps so but the list only covers artist albums :D

The number 5 album that week - The Greatest Hits by Texas also cleared 200,000 sales, selling 230,000 copies.

Seems appropriate to resurrect this. Adele's first day sale puts her in the top 40 already.
Poor Dido being pushed out by Adele :(
Adele has 2nd place at the very least on lock then. Not sure what her chances of #1 are, we'll see what her second (well, second and third unless we happen to get another update tomorrow) day sales are like.
Perhaps so but the list only covers artist albums :D

I'm only asking about those ones because they are the compilations which charted in the album chart before the compilation chart came along

Ah I see. I'm not aware of any I'm afraid :(

For a boy band, Westlife did incredibly well consistently selling high sales.
