Posted March 30, 201114 yr http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k531/Mike__54/CopyofA4NJ-XZCUAE6K8e.jpg US singer Anastacia will release her next two albums via BMG's much talked-about masters model. The first release under the deal will be It’s a Man’s World, produced by producer-writer Glen Ballard, comprising Anastacia’s unique take on a collection of classic male rock songs. The tracklisting includes tracks such as ‘Best Of You’ (Foo Fighters), ‘Ramble On’ (Led Zeppelin) and ‘Dream On’ (Aerosmith). It will be released by BMG on November 9 in GSA (Germany, Switzerland and Austria) and Benelux. Distribution will be handled by a range of partners in different territories, with Rough Trade handling the release in Germany. A brand new album of original material will follow from Anastacia, also to be released in partnership with BMG. BMG's masters model offers artists a bigger share of royalties derived from their records than traditional record deals, but with much less in the way of an advance. Dexys released their album One Day I'm Going To Soar via BMG earlier this year, distributed in the UK by Absolute. Anastacia’s debut album Not That Kind sold over five million copies worldwide, with hit songs including I’m Outta Love and Not That Kind, Freak Of Nature, Anastacia’s second album release in 2001, sold over 4.5 million units, going multi platinum in more than 14 countries, with over one million albums sold in Germany alone. Her third self-titled album, Anastacia included the hits Sick And Tired and Left Outside Alone. In Europe alone, Anastacia has career sales of more than four million albums in the UK, three million in Germany, 1.4 million in Italy and 1.2 million in France. This month she heads out on the road for the Night of the Proms European tour kicking off in Stockholm on September 27 backed by a full 67-piece orchestra. BMG Managing Director of European Repertoire Fred Casimir said: “Anastacia is an international superstar with a huge appeal, particularly in Europe. We are very pleased that she has chosen to release her next two albums in partnership with BMG.” Anastacia’s manager Craig Logan, said: “We’re delighted to partner with BMG. For artists like Anastacia with a strong sense of who they are and where they’re going, the BMG model is really interesting, because it gives you more control and real transparency.” Edited October 2, 201212 yr by Josh
March 30, 201114 yr Author LOL. And you say you're no longer a fan :heehee: I'm actually not. :o I'm just for some reason really interested in the direction she's going with for her next project. I liked the 'sprock' sound.
March 31, 201114 yr If the only bit of info is she spends some time in a studio and might release an album in 2012, I don't really see the point of this topic... This part of the forum should be for threads with current/actual news only IMO... Edited March 31, 201114 yr by Hayzayy
March 31, 201114 yr This part of the forum is actually really for ANY discussion of pop music, whether current or 5 years ago.
March 31, 201114 yr Oh right then, my bad :) In that case, why not close her forum then, if we have the 'past glory' disccusion here? Edited March 31, 201114 yr by Hayzayy
March 31, 201114 yr Author The forum is dead, this is an active part of the forum, so I posted a topic in here. SORRY OKAY. & if you need more information: - She'll release a couple singles this year, releasing a new album beginning of 2012. - She has said on various occasions that it will be more like the 'Left Outside Alone'-material, but is still interested in creating dance music like 'I'm Outta Love'. - She left Mercury because she was unhappy with the forced direction they had put in her with 'Heavy Rotation', who she's signed with now is kept 'secret'. - She's also writing all her own material herself this time (unlike 'I Can Feel You' & Absolutely Positively' - written by Ne-Yo, who she doesn't like.)
March 31, 201114 yr Well her 'Anastacia' album was indeed amazing. "I Can Feel You" was a big no-no from the word go. Hopefully she can come back with another excellent album ^_^
August 3, 201113 yr Updates - Album to get a worldwide release Summer 2012 - The sound is said to be a fusion of Sprock, House and Dance - She will definitely tour with the album - A single with Tony Moran (seperate to the album) will come out later this year, it's rumoured to be called Heartbeat. The video and photoshoot will be done in September - A song for a big company to promote their product will come out February 2012. It's possibly a collab with DJ Tiesto for Skoda, it will be on the album http://twitter.com/anastaciafanily Edited August 3, 201113 yr by Callum.
August 3, 201113 yr ICFY is still amazing :smoke: Skoda? My Dad drives one  Sounds like it could be a great album, I miss Ana :(
August 3, 201113 yr I actually liked 'I can feel you' Thank god. All I hear is 'ICFY' hate, when I thought it was rather amazing
August 4, 201113 yr I'm coming out of the ICFY closet as well. I quite like it. Nowhere near her best but it's nowhere near as bad as people say either.
August 4, 201113 yr Its a long time since Anastacia last had a big hit. I think she will struggle to come back again, given the fact the singles market has changed so much and there are many new female acts out there now.
August 4, 201113 yr If J.Lo can do it after what seems like forever, surely Anastacia can ^_^ I bloody hope she can anyway!
August 5, 201113 yr To be fair Anastacia is far ahead of a lot of today's female artists in terms of vocal ability. We don't really have anyone like her anymore.
July 13, 201212 yr Author YEAH I'M BUMPING THIS.
