'Girls Fall Like Dominos' is probably worse than 'Party Rock Anthem' come to think of it, a terrible use of a great song.

The only thing that slightly irks me about the use of 'Dominos' in GFLD is the random stutter they added to the sample which sounds tacky and pointless. Other than that it's a great song IMO.

Chris Brown - Yeah 3x

Loving the ignorance in this thread also. :manson:

Ignorance? Do elaborate...

None of the songs this year have been too inoffensive, but Parade - "Louder", Bruno Mars - "Grenade" and Chipmunk - "Champion" are definitely the worst, those are awful. Same with "Yeah 3x". "Sweat" is really not great either.

And LOL at the Adele mentions, you don't have to like it by any means but I reeeally fail to see how it's the worst song of the whole year...

I Need A Doctor

Skylar's Voice annoys me so much in it, which is odd as I really liked Coming Home

I seem to always have to turn off the radio/tv when it comes on

Rolling In The Deep just really annoys me- mainly the chorus which to me is just her wailing accompanied with some REALLY irritating backing singers, I'm aware thats an unpopular opinion- but for me, its definitely one of the most worst songs of the year

There has been alot of crappy songs so far this year but for me..

Adele - Someone Like You

SO overrated/overplayed and WHY? It is an average at best ballad with some really terrible vocals in parts.

Party Rock Anthem

We R Who We R

Friday

Without a doubt all three are just dire plus anything by Justine Bieber.

Once Porcelain Black's This is what Rock and Roll looks like comes out I think that song will officially be the worst song ever written, recorded and rapped.

How can anyone not like Rolling in the Deep?

How can that be your most hated song of the year if you describe it as 'average at best'? Surely there has to have been at least *one* other song this year you think is worse than 'average'

For me:

Chris Brown - Yeah X3

Chipmunk Feat. Chris Brown - Champion

The Wanted - Gold Forever

Wretch 32 Feat. Example - Unorthodox

Dr. Dre Feat. Eminem & Skaylar Gray - I Need a Doctor

Justin Beiber - Never Say Never

Whiz Khalifa - Black + Yellow

Niki Minaj - These Girls Fall Over Like Domino's

Bruno Mars - Grenade

It is average but the live version gives it a whole new dimension and it connects a lot better than the studio version.

Nope, the live version is slightly better than the studio version. However, the combo of average song + the hype makes it the worst for me.

Other songs that may not be as good have not recieved the same sort of hype IMO, thus making them more bearable.

Most of my favourite songs this year have been mentioned multiple times too, but it's called having different tastes. I like Adele, but I guess some people don't. I can see why people don't like Someone Like You. I like it, since it has a very nice catchy melody, but I can understand why some people find it boring. And stations like Heart FM might give it the Empire State of Mind treatment, which is worrying, since if they do, people might look back on Someone Like You in a few years time in the same way that people look back on You're Beautiful today (which is NOT a good thing). :(

I thought Heart WERE giving it the Empire State of Mind treatment?

I've only listened to it twice in the last week - once when I was in my mum's car on Saturday, and once when I was in my dad's car yesterday. Both times I heard Someone Like You, and I was only in there both times for like 5-10 minutes :drama: Of course it could be just a coincidence.

Although, does airplay of particular tracks differ by location? My local one is Heart Thames Valley.

Why not just judge the song on its own merits? That's a very silly attitude to take...

Mind you, I don't care for Someone Like You either. Rolling in the Deep is much better. I haven't heard the rest of her album yet.

^ Yeah, it does look like it's possible Heart will do that, as it's heading that way. Empire State of Mind was probably the airplay #1 on Heart FM for literally 6 months. It's hard to tell if they'll overplay Someone Like You that much, but it certainly seems possible. I think both songs will appeal to a similar audience too, both being predominantly voice and piano (although ESOM has echo effects on the vocals, and some percussion and some strings just before the chorus).

It is worse if a rubbish song does well. It makes you hate it more.

I like the album version more than the live version. The live version kind of grates for some reason. I think it is the slower melody.
