Stanning over Judas!! :wub: Best thing I've heard since Bad Romance! :o I managed to catch it on Radio 1 AND Capital but I'm my Wii browser thanks to dead PC so can't d/l or anything :( I can only listen on YT!

 

I agree it outdoes Bad Romance. My fav Gaga song is Dance in the Dark, and its early days but i think this might just overtake it lol!

Still no sign of Judas in the top 300, looks like it's not going to get quite the same massive start as BTW... then again the premiere for Judas had far less hype as it was brought forward by 4 days at the last second.

Um, isn't there like three Marys in the Bible though. So, do you know which Mary she's playing? That'd make a lot of difference. Although I'm not a Christian, so I'm probably wrong here. :lol:

 

Also, Lady Gaga herself is a Christian. I read somewhere that she's actually an ordained minister. So any Christians that get upset will just be mis-interpreting her. And seriously, isn't there like 1,000,000,000 Christians on the planet? Let's count how many of them actually get offended then! :lol:

 

Yes, but she has already got enough hate on her with the song title alone. Then,releasing it during Holy Week, knowing it will be promoted to death. She is taking a very big risk and the downfall could be huge. I hope the video isn't what i said, but judging on the lyrics, it seems that way. I really hope she knows what she's doing.

Well you seem to be alone in thinking it's her best work. I don't think I've seen one fan (other than yourself) say it's her best song.

I'm a total Gaga loon (probably the biggest on here after Chris upside down and maybe Aidan/Gaga For Glee :lol:) and it's already my 2nd fave of hers behind BR! I very much doubt anything she releases will ever knock off BR though!!

and i wouldn't say i definitely prefer this over BR/PF yet, but i like it more on first listen than bad romance which is my favourite gaga song. maybe i will think differently in a year or so but right now i'm thinking it could turn out to be my favourite gaga song

Judas will need to start picking up soon if it wants to have any chance at going top 10 this week. I think a lower début like #26 or so is more likely at the moment, it's certainly taking its time to show up on the feed.

Yeah, I read the Pope said he didn't like one of Madonna's videos (I think it was Like a Prayer). If the Pope saying he doesn't like a song can't get it to #1, I don't know what can! :lol: Although if I were a Christian, I'd probably be so annoyed by the Pope, because every now and then he says something stupid in a public speech, and then a load of gullible people watch it on the news and assume that every single Christian on the face of the planet agrees with him. :lol:

 

About Madonna/Gaga, I don't mind them being similar tbh. Most artists in the charts are similar to artists they used to look up to. Just a lot of Gaga's fans should be a bit less defensive about it when Lady Gaga is compared to Madonna (or anybody at all, for that matter).

Best song ever? Even as a Gaga loon, I'll say that's overreacting! Then again, on YT I've seen many a comment on many a random bland album track from a random artist with 'best song ever' incorperated somehow :mellow: It may be their opinion but then again I'll guarantee a good few are overreacting!

BTW didn't chart until 3 hours in, and its been little over an hour since Judas was released but I'm not expecting it to do as well to bein with - BTW had huge hype and a banner while this was just thrown on iTunes early after a leak.
