That'd be because of the album's release. US iTunes always removes singles when their parent album comes out, it's stupid. Will be back up to #3 in no time...

"Weird Al" Yankovic is #13 on the US iTunes Albums chart with 'Alpocalypse' - didn't know he was still around :o I love his parodies  Haven't heard a lot of his original work (although I have heard 'Albuquerque' which is pretty great :kink:)

Oh and his polka medleys are AMAZE. Must listen to 'Polka Face' from the new album

19 Britney Spears/ I Wanna Go

BRITS IN TOP 100:

4 Adele/ Rolling In The Deep

36 Florence + The Machine/ Dog Days Are Over

44 Jessie J ft B.O.B/ Price Tag

59 Tinie Tempah ft Eric Turner/ Written In The Stars

64 Adele/ Turning Tables

65 Coldplay/ Fix You

78 Coldplay/ Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall

81 Taio Cruz/ Dynamite

So, Adele vs. Katy vs. Pitbull vs. LMFAO vs. Maroon 5 time:

SALES:

100% Maroon 5

78% Katy

61% Pitbull

59% Adele

39% LMFAO (obviously a slightly unfair comparison given it just got deleted, but it's the best I can do)

AIRPLAY:

100% Adele (166.6m)

83% Pitbull (137.6m)

54% LMFAO (89.8m)

30% Katy (50.2m)

0.3% Maroon 5 (0.5m)

Adele still looks most likely to be #1 for an eighth week to me. LMFAO probably her closest contender as Pitbull only has a very small lead sales-wise and LMFAO are climbing back really quickly and will probably be back at #3 in absolutely no time. Katy and Maroon 5 look out of the running for #1 barring any late spikes.

If you add the percentages up this is what the battle is likely to look like. ADELE should get top for another week before Pitbull or Katy takes over (more likely Pitbull as Katy is only starting to gain on airplay)

1st 159% Adele

2nd 144% Pitbull

3rd 108% Katy

4th 100.3% Maroon 5

5th 93% LMFAO

Some random updates:

5. Tonight Tonight - Hot Chelle Rae

What actually is this song?

7. Party Rock Anthem (feat. Lauren Bennett & GoonRock) - LMFAO

73. Party Rock Anthem (DJ Enferno Remix) - LMFAO

100. Party Rock Anthem (feat. Lauren Bennett & GoonRock) - LMFAO

I don't think I've ever seen a song have 3 versions top 100 on US iTunes before :o

10. Honey Bee - Blake Shelton

I thought/hoped this would spend its one week in the top 10 then vanish never to be seen again... :(

14. Dirt Road Anthem - Jason Aldean

49. Dirt Road Anthem (Remix) [feat. Ludacris] - Jason Aldean

When did the original get so far ahead of the remix again?

15. I Wanna Go - Britney Spears

28. Dirty Dancer (with Usher) [feat. Lil Wayne] - Enrique Iglesias

Video effect helping these two massively I see. I wonder if Dirty Dancer still hss the potential to be another massive hit for Enrique.

203. Mr. Saxobeat (Radio Edit) - Alexandra Stan

:D Hopefully this can be another big Euro hit that crosses over to the US

288. Young Blood - The Naked and Famous

:o

Is there any particular reason why Turning Tables has re-emerged in the top 100?

Is Florence going to release any other singles in the US or is she just moving on to album #2 over there. If she did i can only see any other single from Lungs getting a similar reception in America as La Roux's In For The Kill did.

Would love to see Adele get an 8th week at the top but wouldn't mind Katy or LMFAO to get the top spot.

That Hot Chelle Rae song sounds like it could be this years gives you hell by the all american rejects
5. Tonight Tonight - Hot Chelle Rae

What actually is this song?

Don't worry, all of us over here in America are wondering the same thing.

Not bad though. I agree with the Gives You Hell comparison.

Speaking of La Roux, what are they up to nowadays..?

Collabing with Dr. Dre! :D

Don't know what else though.

Hot Chelle Rae number 5 :o I heard it months ago - thought it had been and gone and flopped...

I recall seeing it in the low top 100 on US iTunes quite a while ago - but it's only the last week or so it's suddenly shot up to the top 5. (Although it's now back down to #7, LMFAO up to #4, Adele down to #5 and GaGa at #6)

284. Cinema (Skrillex Remix) [feat. Gary Go] - Benny Benassi

How bizarre! Who'd have thought Gary Go (remember he did that song 'Wonderful' that got to #25 (CRIMINAL peak BTW) back in 2009?) would ever get anything approaching a minor hit in the USA?

That top 3 is so close :o

And can anyone tell me why Turning Tables is still #81 or is it just because its simply beautiful? Has to be a single.
