Thanks Daniel. Well, this is the 6th GaGa #1 for me now, so it was inevitable really! I like it alot more than BTW on my few listens though.

 

As for the Arctics, I really like Don't Sit Down... It is alot stronger than their last album so far plus this sounds almost Nirvana-esque in parts.

Straight in at #1 for Judas! I think it's far better than Born This Way, which debuted at #10 for me (although dropped out of the entire chart 3 weeks later :drama:) so it should get a debut above that! Not sure where though yet...

I rarely post in loads of personal charts because I'd just end up repeating the same comments - and I'm not just listing my faves (seems pointless :lol: ) Here's my thoughts on your top 10:

So 'Judas' sold 20k in 30 hours. 'Born This Way' therefore sold 3x as many downloads in a similar timeframe. However, I am interested in seeing this video. A visually striking music video can so wonders; see 'Telephone'. :D At the moment, I'm really liking the pure pop chorus in 'Judas' but finding the verses all a bit cluttered. :lol: It's still better than 'LoveGame' which remains Lady GaGa's weakest single imo.

 

2 (7) Chris Brown feat. Benny Benassi - Beautiful People // 7-2 (2 wks)

 

Ever since 'Run It' in 2006, I'd never heard a Chris Brown song I really liked. Then I heard 'Beautiful People' are was AGOG. :o The best thing about this track is Chris Brown's vocals. Gone are the painfully strained high notes and in its place are some rather silky lower range vocals that work brilliantly with the backing track. Don't know how Benny Benassi managed to achieve it, but kudos to them.

I really don't know what it is about Arctic Monkeys but, for me anyways, they seem to have lost their spark. Their last album and now this lead single just haven't hit the mark compared to the singles from their first two albums.

Quite easily a massive improvement on 'The Time (Dirty Bit)'. Their best single still remains 'I Gotta Feeling' and I doubt any singles from 'The Beginning' will have the same immediate impact on me.

 

9 (3) Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull – On The Floor // 3-2-3-9 (4 wks)

 

:wub: I know it's sleazy pop but it's good sleazy pop.

 

10 (4) Katy B - Broken Record // 10-5-4-10 (4 wks)

 

I regarded this as Katy B's best single to date a week ago. Now I'm already starting to get bored of hearing this. It's not had a long lasting effect on me.

Straight in at #1 for Judas! I think it's far better than Born This Way, which debuted at #10 for me (although dropped out of the entire chart 3 weeks later :drama:) so it should get a debut above that! Not sure where though yet...

 

Big drop off for Adele there :o Surprised it managed such a long time at #1 in the first place!

yeah, Judas alot better than BTW - it has strains of Bad Romance I think (which is good). I still really like Adele's SLY - but 8 weeks was enough.

I rarely post in loads of personal charts because I'd just end up repeating the same comments - and I'm not just listing my faves (seems pointless :lol: ) Here's my thoughts on your top 10:

 

1 (-) Lady GaGa – Judas // 1 (1 wk) 1 week at number 1

 

So 'Judas' sold 20k in 30 hours. 'Born This Way' therefore sold 3x as many downloads in a similar timeframe. However, I am interested in seeing this video. A visually striking music video can so wonders; see 'Telephone'. :D At the moment, I'm really liking the pure pop chorus in 'Judas' but finding the verses all a bit cluttered. :lol: It's still better than 'LoveGame' which remains Lady GaGa's weakest single imo.

 

The video will make a difference I think - Telephone's vid really made the song for me. BTW's video was a bit wtf though.

 

2 (7) Chris Brown feat. Benny Benassi - Beautiful People // 7-2 (2 wks)

 

Ever since 'Run It' in 2006, I'd never heard a Chris Brown song I really liked. Then I heard 'Beautiful People' are was AGOG. :o The best thing about this track is Chris Brown's vocals. Gone are the painfully strained high notes and in its place are some rather silky lower range vocals that work brilliantly with the backing track. Don't know how Benny Benassi managed to achieve it, but kudos to them.

 

I know! I was AGOG too :o This is the only Chris Brown song I have ever liked!

 

3 (6) LMFAO feat. Lauren Bennett & GoonRock - Party Rock Anthem// 16-6-3 (3 wks)

 

It's the song you love to hate...but can't help but like it. :lol: I'm still waiting for the mash up LMFAO Vs Phil Collins 'Another Party Rock Anthem In Paradise'. :D

4 (-) Arctic Monkeys – Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair // 4 (1 wk)

 

I really don't know what it is about Arctic Monkeys but, for me anyways, they seem to have lost their spark. Their last album and now this lead single just haven't hit the mark compared to the singles from their first two albums.

 

I like this more than the singles from their last album, and this grew on me alot last week.

 

5 (2) Cee Lo Green – Bright Lights, Bigger City // 10-13-10-5-4-2-5 (7 wks)

 

I'm so glad that Cee Lo Green is enjoying success. He's a brilliant talent and after the massive success of 'Crazy' five years ago, I thought we may never hear from Cee Lo again. 'Forget You!' was excellent and this is another fine slice of pure US RnB at its best.

 

6 (1) Adele – Someone Like You // 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-6 (9 wks)

 

Eight weeks at #1 :o Which track holds the record for longest run at #1 in your chart? Is it Adele?

 

This now ties with Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc at 8 weeks.
