I'd imagine it's just her record label (which one is she on?) paying to have the ad on there, rather than iTunes deciding to keep it on there for ages. :lol:

Well they're also paying to advertise the single in TV - there was an ad for it in the middle of the UK broadcast of American Idol last night.

 

Think that's the first time I've ever saw an advert for a single on TV.

Most banners do stay up for the whole week in it's first release, so it will most likely be taken down tomorrow.

I just assumed Itunes mainly kept certain advertisments up for a whole week, such as new release albums etc

I couldn't remember the BTW banner being up for a whole week, I'm sure that was up less although it was doing much better in the first week then Judas on itunes

I think Gaga will re-enter anyway. It probably won't go to #1, but it should rise with increasing radio airplay and a music video enough to go back top 10. Bad Romance fell out the top 10 initially too. So did The Time.

Judas is better than Bad Romance. I know Bad Romance came first, but Judas has a melody playing in the verses, whilst Bad Romance had nothing, so was just really boring.

Having heard 1 minute of the instrumental to Marry The night off Born This Way album, i dont know why she didnt release that. It was originally planned to be the 1st single, but BTW had a strong message that she couldn't ignore. I LOVE Judas but Marry The Night/Government Hooker/ or what she calls the masterpiece Edge Of Glory would have epic as singles.

Songs that are better generally do sell better, but that's not always what happens. There's just too many factors to take into account.

 

Bad Romance and Judas are almost the same, so I think it's odd how people can say they love Bad Romance and they hate Judas. Sorry, but Bad Romance was just really boring and generic. Judas is a little bit better imo.

 

Also, Bad Romance was out back in the days when people talked about Lady Gaga on the radio with a hushed voice, and with deep respect for the saviour of chart music, etc. Now they're doing that to Adele at the moment, so obviously Gaga will lose some sales without that sort of promotion.
