This weeks Glee songs aren't doing very well :L Landslide being the highest which will probably scrape top 75 if it's lucky.

Next week they should be back with a bang because it is the original songs episode, I can see 'Loser Like Me' being massive :)

Just to go there re:Iyaz

Pyramid >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>....>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Replay >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Solo >>>>>>>>>>>>>> So Big :puke:

I hope so, it is too good bot too. I am hoping for top 20.

I agree, it is an amazing song, so catchy and feel-good. It would be devastating for 'Busy' to miss the top 20, let alone top 40.

Well done :). I notice the melody is being used on an advert, hope it helps. at my spelling mistake.

But yeah, he is like nowhere. I do wonder why Replay was such a big hit tbh. It's an appalling song imo, not to mention really generic and ordinary, and was released by an artist that nobody really knew beforehand. I wouldn't be half-surprised if Apple donated some money to help promote the song in this case. :kink: Seriously though, I hated this song. It wasn't even catchy or anything. The only bit I remember was when he said something about a symphony and then some strings played for a few seconds or something. You know a song is dreadful if that's the most interesting bit! :drama: Sorry if anybody likes Replay btw.

I guess part of this depends on whether you'd consider Solo to be a "big hit" though (it was certainly a better song). And I think Pyramid (aka No Air, Part II) and So Big (aka Solo, Part II) were in the chart at the same time, so he was moderately relevent for a few weeks back then.

If you asked 100 people to name an Iyaz song, most would say "Replay". I wouldn't call Solo a "big hit", it was very front loaded you can tell from the chart run (3-10-20-27-37-39-43-53-58-71-92-x). You could say he was moderately relevant but it was a shame that he couldn't make another big hit, maybe because the UK agrees with me when I say all of Iyaz's songs aren't very good except "Replay" which is great.

And lots of songs get released "by an artist that nobody really knew beforehand" and are big hits, yes it was catchy and generic but good at the same time. I think Iyaz isn't that successful anymore because he can't make a good song

on the iyaz talk: Pyramid (Surprisingly decent)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Solo>Replay> So big (all were vile :puke:)

Iyaz is sort of a two hit wonder- both said 'hits' though will soon be forgotten

"Solo" is already forgotten lol, but Replay will soon follow, it's like getting no airplay at all now so it won't go down a classic. I dislike all Iyaz's songs except Replay, well I liked Solo at the time but it's so forgettable so I don't like it now

Thanks! And yeah haha I think it's the M&S advert lol :) Really hope it does well, IMO it's his best song and his first single got to #1, second got to #4 and third got to #20 so I'm hoping 'Busy' will be his second #1! Oh and no worries, I didn't even notice any spelling mistakes :P

I sort of liked Replay. It wasn't brilliant, but it was better than the likes of OMG. It also even lampshaded the fact it was an earworm, with its very song subject, which endeared me to it a little bit. But Solo was amazing IMO.

Solo>>>>>>>>Replay>>>>>>>>>>>So Big (haven't heard Pyramid enough to comment)

 Yeah, I think it is. That would be a great era run . I said "bot".

Since we're on the subject of Iyaz...

Replay -> I liked, probably my favourite song by him, catchy and was popular at my school for months

Solo -> It was alright, I liked it but got old quickly

So Big -> Don't like it, thought it was boring and repetitive

Pyramid -> Love it, probably because of Charice's stunning vocals :)

He had that song 'la la la' with this girl featured on it (can't remember who now) but that was only successful in America, not even sure if it was released here.

I'm not sure if Replay will get forgotten. I hope it does, because I hate it, but it was SO big at the time. As someone else said, that woman in the music video was probably partly responsible for the song's success.

This. The song was incredibly popular at the time. Maybe adults will forget it (most of them probably didn't know it in the first place though ), but I'd imagine most people in my school still remember it vividly.

I remember when it was released it had massive first-week sales too. It was really hyped up.

Random question BUT where do we all think Adele 'set fire to the rain' will end up on itunes next friday when she sings it on graham norton?

Oh haha xD And yeah tell me about it! It'd be 4 top 20 singles including two #1's! :)

probably around #17-#22 quite high just because it's adele, but I don't think it'll have as much of an effect as say, Britain's Got Talent would.

That'd be Auburn feat. Iyaz.

It was never released here I don't think, but I do remember it being top 40 on US iTunes for a while. I think Iyaz also featured on a New Boyz song which was never released here?

It was me. I have always thought it . At the time, I was like WTF, until I saw the video :P.

Would be great . I want all my favourite artists to get to number 1 with every song .

Anyway this isn't Celeb Crushes so to get back on topic, I will say that it's 'massive first week sales' were around 100-110k, which is good for a January single (not as good as Grenade)

Hmmm, possibly around the low top 40 mark, around what Someone Like You did when 21 was initially released. Turning Tables also appears on Glee the Monday after that so we could have 5 Adele songs in the top 100 in a couple of weeks :D

 2. On the Floor (Radio Edit) - Jennifer Lopez

 3. Unorthodox (Radio Edit) [feat. Example] - Wretch 32

Cue Regina :P

Also:

 8. Fast Car - Tracy Chapman

Was BGT repeated or something?

That'd be Auburn feat. Iyaz.

Ahh ok thanks :) And I think the New Boyz track was 'Break My Bank' - I remember watching US chart videos and seeing it there for a while. :)

What does everyone think Judas' peak will be after the video is released?
