In the Britney forum, I just read there's a remix of Till The World Ends with Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj on just been confirmed :o :w00t: If they release it a la S&M, it may finally go top 20 in the UK!!!

Wow that sounds amazing! All three of them on one song?!! They'll be a triple threat :P

Will record companies throw other artists on dying songs all the time now?. It does sound quite good though.

It actually happens a LOT. Like seriously, an awful lot. Just 95% of the time the remixes don't get put up for download, and they don't get hyped up very much.

Although the remix of Black and Yellow (with T-Pain, Snoop Dogg and Juicy J) did get released. Perhaps it'll become the norm to release those remixes soon? I've never been able to see any disadvantages to it tbh.

I didn't know it happened a lot :o. They should release them, it is a good idea(if it is a song I like ). As long as the remix adds something to the song, then I suppose there is no problem with it.

EDIT:Oh, and that remix got some play on music channels, I remember it now.

A lot of them are just the featured artist singing one of the verses (e.g. the Jennifer Lopez remix of Dynamite), sometimes they're even only harmonizing (e.g. Cheryl Cole version of Check It Out, although this is another one that was actually released).

Then there's others like the 50 Cent remix of Forget You, or the Flo Rida version of Replay, where they rap and add more lyrics to the song.

Then some go even further than they fully remix the instrumental of the song, such as the Gucci Mane remix of Boom Boom Pow (Flo Rida and 50 Cent also did versions of Boom Boom Pow over the same instrumental as the one in the Gucci Mane remix).

But yes, they could only help if they were all releaesd, surely? There's SO many though. Every few days I seem to stumble across a new one on youtube.

Interesting fact: Drake's verse on What's My Name? was originally just a remix, but they liked it so much they made it the single version and even included it on the album. Drake's verse really offered a lot to the song tbh, not only for the clever 69 and "ate-something" joke, but simply in the context of the song. Drake's verse describes foreplay, which is why they have it at the beginning of the song, instead of during the bridge (which is the orgasm).

Sorry I may be late noticing but I'm glad Chris Brown is upto 4. BP is a great song :D

Yes, he's really found a new route to success...

Beat up your girlfriend, wait a couple of years, release the same crap you did before, then have loads of big hits...

Broken record as usual

Please move on. Thankfully most people have and appreciate him for his talent

Haha - well he is very talented in lots of disciplines, the idiots are quick to forget.

On another note it's great to see te big stars (Gaga, Spears, Beyonce) not doing very well..... still smirking at the desperation of the Britney camp on throwing more $h!te singers into the Till The World Ends disaster...... how the great have fallen..

Idiots quick to forget ?

I haven't forgotten at all, but both Chris & Rihanna have moved on.. Why should people that don't even know them continue dwelling on the past ?

I like his music and have been a fan since he first released Run It. As long as I like the music I will buy it

I love Drake's part on WMN - of course Rihanna is great but I probably wouldn't have loved the song as much as I did if Drake wasn't on it. It's original, because in most songs with featured rappers they rap on the middle eight so the singer can't do one him/herself but in WMN you have a rap and a middle eight by Rihanna - both are great parts of the song, cos Rihanna unlike many other singers does a great job at it (the middle eight to the new Britney song is literaly "ohh oh oh oh oh oh ohhoh etc.") Drake deserves some of his own hits, 'Forever' by him and three other artists sadly missed the top 40.

Exactly totally agree with everything you've said and I feel the same way, I've been a fan of Chris's music from the start too and I'm certainly not going to stop buying his music on something what happened in the past, which has nothing to do with his music.

Drake deserves some of his own hits, 'Forever' by him and three other artists sadly missed the top 40.

'Forever' and 'Over' were both fantastic but they only peaked at #42 and #50 respectively :(

He did go to #24 with 'Find Your Love' but I didn't like that song as much as I liked Forever and Over (it was still pretty good though)

I loved both forever and over aswell, I remember waiting for 'over' to climb into the top 40 but it never did :( such a shame because it's a good song!

The whole of Drake's Thank Me Later album deserved much more success!

It really annoys me when people just can't let that go! It was Rihanna he beat up, and though it was an awful thing to do, she has moved on and so should everyone else! I've also been a bit of Chris fan since day one, and he's come back after the controversy with his best album. I don't even really care that he smashed up a room during the promo for it. Tbh, I like his music not him and if I liked his music and he was a murderer I'd listen to it. Are you all gonna stop listening to Phil Spector productions just because he murdered? I doubt it!

Yeah. They simply couldn't put Drake's verse over the bridge, because the song wouldn't make sense otherwize. I think it's cool when songs have both though. They should do it more often. Like in the music video to E.T. they included both. Also Just Dance by Lady Gaga had both a bridge and a verse from a guest vocalist (the two best parts of the song too, imo).

Forever was a great song. Oddly enough, despite missing the top 40, it's actually a staple in the iTunes top 1000. I check for it most days, and I can't remember it not being there, but it's impressive that a song that missed the top 40 has such longevity. I don't imagine it's being promoted anymore either. People probably just find it on the Internet I guess.

It annoys me too. I like Chris. But he's moved on. And so has Rihanna. I was shocked about what happened. But it's all in the past.

Interesting releases at midnight tonight are:

Dev - Bass Down Low

Nerina Pallot - Put Your Hands Up

Nero - Guilt

Owl City - Alligator Sky

The Sound Of Arrows - Nova

Yep, I called Sound Of Arrows interesting! :drama: I don't think many of these will have impact :( Dev has been screaming for release for ages, it might shockingly get top 40 I guess? Nerina Pallot has always been more of an albums act so she'll probs miss top 40 :( Shame, I love PYHU! Nero might scrape top 20, but I can't see it being as big as Me & You (far superior song imo) so it may miss it. Owl City is still a one hit wonder and I doubt (as great as the track is) Aligator Sky will change it.

So a boring week again :( I guess if Bey/Gaga get their vids out they might be contenders, else LMFAO will get a third week :( :puke:

Edited by Liаm

Nero should go top 40, I would think.

Since we're talking about Nero, and we're talking about Forever, Nero did a good remix of Forever.

I don't have a clue how Bass Down Low will do. It's a brilliant song. I'd like it to be a #1, but I can see it missing the top 40. :(
