This is what on air/on sale should be like, a steady climb up the chart and just when it's about to dip bam (bam bam bam) the video is out, airplay rises to it's peak a couple weeks later and the songs stays around for ages.

that song was dreadful- I don't know a lot about her, but she certainly didn't deserve success with that

To be fair she wasn't really aiming to be a popstar. She's already very successful at what she does.. I find her a lot more genuine than the likes of Paris Hilton

The Dream was the one that approached her to do the single.. & I'm pretty sure the profits went to charity

It's only been out a day, how do you know it's not going to drop just like Judas did? I predict it'll just do exactly the same as Judas but a little worse... (in terms of its success prior to the video release anyway)

She did admit she's not the best singer and she also said it was just a challenge and she has no plans to do another single or an album. She does seem a very nice lady I agree compared to Paris.

Yep

Tbh The Dream obviously knew she sounded awful in the song and yet he still let her release it. Extra publicity maybe ?

Wow, it was produced by The Dream! :o That's quite surprising. He's a very well-known American urban producer. I'm used to him producing for Rihanna, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Eminem, Beyonce and T.I. (and I assume there's lots of others too, but I think those are all the ones I can think of atm).

Would not have expected him to produce for Kim Kardy. :o

Although I'd definitely produce for her. :kink:

Iyaz is definitely a 'one massive hit and no other big hits' artist - his new song 'Rule The World' got released on 19 April with zero hype and it's doing nothing on iTunes. I only found out he had a new single today when I got an 'iTunes reminder'. Who would have guessed he would be this unpopular this time last year?

- yes i know it's off-topic but what the hey. To be on topic I will point out that Beyonce is number 6 :P

 #149 Olly Murs - Busy :( This was #147 earlier, it's slowly falling :(

Don't worry, I am sure it is just the weekend affect, it will climb back up(I hope).

Oh dear lord (no pun intended) Gaga, just get the Judas vid out NOW!!!! :drama: I'm still looning over Judas, to quote Eric_Blob a page or two ago, it 'physically pains me' to see Judas keep falling
 12. Someone Like You - ADELE

 13. Judas - Lady GaGa

Gaga needs the video :(

To be fair, I think a lot of people here probably thought Iyaz would be a "one massive hit and no other big hits" artist. But those same people probably labelled the likes of Jason Derulo in the same way, and probably do so to any American male urban artist that they don't like, so...

But yeah, he is like nowhere. I do wonder why Replay was such a big hit tbh. It's an appalling song imo, not to mention really generic and ordinary, and was released by an artist that nobody really knew beforehand. I wouldn't be half-surprised if Apple donated some money to help promote the song in this case. :kink: Seriously though, I hated this song. It wasn't even catchy or anything. The only bit I remember was when he said something about a symphony and then some strings played for a few seconds or something. You know a song is dreadful if that's the most interesting bit! :drama: Sorry if anybody likes Replay btw.

I guess part of this depends on whether you'd consider Solo to be a "big hit" though (it was certainly a better song). And I think Pyramid (aka No Air, Part II) and So Big (aka Solo, Part II) were in the chart at the same time, so he was moderately relevent for a few weeks back then.

Pyramid is amazing, the only good song Iyaz was on (and I think it's just cause I'm a Charice semi-loon :drama:)

Yeah, Pyramid was nice. I think:

I hope so, it has alot more time to climb, hopefully it'll crack top 40 after promo and the official release :D

the woman in the video was probably the only thing that sold it IMO.
