First of all, sorry it's so late! Buuut....

 

Here we go! The latest Buzzjack Song Contest spin off is officially starting, and the first ever edition of BJ-FESTIVALEN!! :cheer:

In the style of Melodifestivalen, the competition will tour around the Buzzjack world, being hosted in Ashton, Caerfyrddia, Herzebania and Numayania. Starting this weekend, each of the four hosts will present a heat, from which 2 songs will qualify to the grand final in Morpeth Cove, Ashton, and a further two will make it to a second chance round at a yet to be announced location.

 

Normal rules apply to this competition, with a few extras:

 

- Songs must be a maximum of 3 minutes in length. They can be shorter - as short as you want - but not a second over 3:00. There has been some confusion so I'll make it clear that the video can be longer than 3 minutes, as long as the song itself is 3:00 or shorter. You can also enter a song longer than 3 minutes if you are willing to edit it down for the purposes of the competition. If there is any doubt then PM either myself, Tom, Silas or Ghosthunter.

 

- No Eurovision or Junior Eurovision songs are allowed, nor are any songs that have competed in national finals for either of these competitions. Of course Eurovision ARTISTS are allowed, but not with the song(s) they entered with.

We'll see how it does, but assuming this spin-off is massively popular and 40 people enter, there's only a 1 in 4 chance of making the final anyway, so I'm not too bothered about success with this one.

Confirmed. I'm not overly confident with my choice, but I think it's the best of the shortlist I had and I adore it, so I'm happy enough with it.
