July 17, 201114 yr Lucinda was great aswell, constantly wearing berets. I loved Lorraine aswell, from the series that Yasmina won, she was constantly entertaining. Me too, they were definitely two of my favourite contestants. Quirky females ftw.
July 17, 201114 yr A niche product in a mass market Susan? :D You just know this episode is going to be GOLD Margaret immediately calling Jim an "ass" is hopefully a sign of things to come. Big LOL at his utter failure to not use clichés! But OH NO for Tom :( His business idea sounds DREADFUL. How many businesses have the resources or inclination to spend $h!tloads of money analysing backpain?!
July 17, 201114 yr This is quite literally BRILLIANT so far! :D Susan's is possibly the best but she's letting herself down.
July 17, 201114 yr But OH NO for Tom :( His business idea sounds DREADFUL. How many businesses have the resources or inclination to spend $h!tloads of money analysing backpain?! Large ones probably would, depending upon the cost. They certainly would spend money on chairs that would suit people so that they are unlikely to have large amounts of sickness that costs the business a lot of money.
July 17, 201114 yr This is quite literally BRILLIANT so far! :D Susan's is possibly the best but she's letting herself down. This. It's the only decent concept on the table yet (although I don't think we've seen Jim's yet), but there was no way she was going to be get away with claiming over £1m annual profit on a business with less than a quarter of that as start-up capital.
July 17, 201114 yr Is Helen's big innovative business idea not essentially just hiring a PA? She failed in that interview. All she had to do was point out that Lord Sugar would have contacts for those sort of clients while, the more normal ones that she was targeting her business at were unlikely to wish to be asking for a table at the Ivy.

They certainly would spend money on chairs that would suit people so that they are unlikely to have large amounts of sickness that costs the business a lot of money. But IS backpain that big a risk for corporations? I have no idea.
July 17, 201114 yr Jim's could be good, but like Susan, he's letting himself down. Tom's is probably the most unique but I don't think it's actually realistic. I love Jim! :D
July 17, 201114 yr But IS backpain that big a risk for corporations? I have no idea. It is if it's office based. We have to be very careful what type of furniture we use as we could be potentially liable if we were to provide items that were detrimental to an individual's health - we have to keep a very strict and comprehensive record of all employees and the chairs and equipment that are suitable for them.

Well I genuinely had no idea. I do hope it IS a viable idea as I would love to see Tom win and change the misconception that you have to be an arsehole to succeed in business.
