Well, naturally I would have gone for 320 with artwork as I'm just a bit like that but 192 is okay and I'm not about to cause Ghosty extra hassle once he's sourced them and uploaded.

 

I was more just wondering how it normally works for the main contest as I know I'd be more likely to listen more often to something in 320 than if the mp3 was in 128 and then the country sending the track in 128 would lose out through no fault of their own... anyway, it's not really relevant to this thread so I'll shush.

 

MP3's aren't a must at all in BJSC. Hosts (or helpers) occasionally offer MP3 packs but this contest has always been done predominantly through youtube links. When I did the MP3 packs for the contest before last, I just offered the best quality MP3 I could find for each song. But having 45 odd tracks all at 320 is one whopping great file to download!

 

I'm personally happy enough with 192/256/whatever really, but I listen to my music mainly through my laptop because I'm lazy and the speakers/sound quality is terrible so it makes no difference to me :drama:

Even though I saw the last edition, I hadn't expected the songs to be so universally poppy as they were. I haven't checked out the other heats though so maybe they're all hidden away in those.

 

edit: I feel quite mean now but they were my honest scores... each to their own I guess, I fully expect most of the other participants in this heat to love the ones I've placed towards the bottom. Also, I didn't realise how pleasingly numerically ordered my scores were!!!

I have to say I agree. Although not quite to the same extent! haha. I do love it though.

 

I have voted and I can honestly, hand on my heart say that I didn't particularly dislike/hate ANY song in this heat! So my 0 pointer is actually still a solid 7 out of 10!
