So Man Utd are about to have 19 'titles' (I don't know what that means, I don't know anything about football) hence the song choice. We could have a song and an album both with the same title but by unrelated artists in their respective top 10s... possibly the first time since Girls Aloud / Il Divo - The Promise? (Which were bizarrely both #1 in the same week)

Do Man Utd have many fans? I hope it goes top 10, but they need to buy the same version so it gets the top 10 effect quicker!!!

I agree actually. Glee songs are mostly miss for me, I've probably downloaded only 6 or 7 over the history of the show but I think I'll add this to my collection too, it was sung very well. I love the original Unpretty too, one of my favourite songs of 1999!

Me too, the only Glee Cast songs I have are Don't Stop Believin' (one of the most uplifting songs of 2010 imo), Halo/Walking on Sunshine, Like a Prayer, Total Eclipse of the Heart, Singing in the Rain/Umbrella, Thriller/Heads Will Roll, Toxic and Start Me Up/Livin' on a Prayer.

A lot of their songs suffer from being too similar to the originals imo.

 they're probably now the most supported team in the country...

As for the 19 titles, they are almost certainly now going to win the Premier League/First Division for the 19th time this season. That will take them past Liverpool's record of 18, and because of the rivalry between the two that's kind of a big deal.

I have Don't Stop Believin', Get It Right, Loser Like Me, Halo/Walking On Sunshine, Total Eclipse Of The Heart, Thriller/Heads Will Roll and now I Feel Pretty/Unpretty - so a pretty similar list to yours! I watch the show (at UK pace, not US pace - don't care about it that much!) and only download the songs that make me look up at the TV and pay attention, which isn't that many

gaga's new song is out on itunes now along with a hefty banner on the front page for the countdown thing

woops i missed the conversation, my clock is an hour behind <_<

Lady Gaga could really break 7th Place soon tbh!

Nicole Scherzinger - Killer Love #78... It's not playing that much on the music charts due to Gaga Judas overload

Alexis Jordan - Hush Hush. Really wish it would Rush Rush up the charts :( #237

hope glee's pretty/unpretty does well ^_^

The Only Glee songs that I have are.

- Don't Stop believing

- Total Eclipse Of The Heart.

- Like A Prayer.

- Loser Like Me

- Get It Right.

- Halo/Walking on Sunshine.

- i feel Pretty/Unpretty.

Just downloaded somewhere Only we know but not the Glee version!

I don't even watch the show! I just think some of those songs are good. Although I've got 8 out of 100 and something, which isn't that great I suppose. But still, I think they deserve more credit than they get from some people.

Yeah, Halo/Walking On Sunshine, especially, is very popular. I often see it at the bottom end of the top 1000. And my local Tesco has it as one of the songs they play in the background all the time! :D I don't like the original Halo, but the way Glee did it, I think I would've quite liked Halo if it was sped up.

Total Eclipse of the Heart made quite an impact after the episode (although I didn't watch it, so I don't really know why ). It shot up iTunes, and almost got to #1.

One thing that annoys me about the Total Eclipse of the Heart and the Like a Prayer covers is how they start screaming about halfway through (think: No Air by Jordin Sparks/Chris Brown). I love them both, but sometimes when I listen to them, I just burst out laughing because it's so OTT!

On the subject of Glee - the one that's on now, 'As If I Never Said Goodbye' is surely one of the worst?! :| It feels like it's NEVER going to end!
I'd LOVE if 'I Feel Pretty/Unpretty' would do something similar to what 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' did last year. I doubt it would happen, but it would be amazing if it did.

I haven't listened to it, but you you heard Rolling in the Deep?! Good that it's a bit different (and that it's promoting Adele more in the US), but I really don't like it. :(

Us non Gleeks all seem to like the same songs the most  Somehwere Only We Know is a great song, but that rendition was definitely one where I'd be reminded of the original rather than liking their version. Luckily, it's already on my iPod on Now 57!

Really? I know what you mean though, I can easily imagine myself not watching the show and just downloading the odd song or two. It's easy enough to just see them as another mixed gender pop group, it's not as if there are any others around these days. And they're all very competent or strong vocalists, so I don't particularly get the hate either, not from pop fans anyway - the sort of people who worshipped the ground Steps walked on 10 years ago - whose percentage of original hits/cover version hits must have been nearing Glee's :heehee:

I like OTT wailing, No Air is one of my all time favourite songs  Not to mention Nadine Beiler's The Secret Is Love (that would be the hooded girl in my avatar, fact fans!).

Lea Michelle's vocals in Rolling In the deep is awseome though! It sounds way to Acapella though!

I don't like it, either. It's a shame, since it's one of their only covers where they change it a lot, but it just didn't work.

38. 19 - Paul Hardcastle

64. 19 - Paul Hardcastle

GaGa not top 300 yet, not that she was expected to be just yet but :P

California King Bed #183 :) Going to be climbing pretty quickly this week I reckon. :)
Glee Cast - I Feel Pretty/Unnpretty really deserves to go top 40 - and I think it has a good chance! Everyone seems to be loving it and 'Unpretty' was just trending on twitter in the UK :P

has anyone heard the glee version of friday?

here it is

imo, it is marginally better than the original which is one of the worst songs i've ever heard

Yeah. Although I am constantly reminded that they're from a TV show, so that ruins ths illusion a little bit.

And, to be fair, I was like 9 years old when I listened to Steps (), so I had a little bit of a different attitude about it all then!!

Tragedy and Stomp were my favourites though!
