Posted May 9, 201115 yr Laurie Talk of this week's chart 10:57 | Tuesday May 10, 2011 By Paul Williams Source: MW Singles Only around 2,700 sales separate the week's first and third biggest-selling singles so far, with Positiva/Virgin’s Where Them Girls At by David Guetta featuring Flo-Rida and Nicki Minaj leading the way, having debuted at three on last Sunday’s chart. Elektra/Atlantic’s Bruno Mars, who was in second place on last week’s chart for a second successive time, is currently runner-up again with The Lazy Song, while Interscope/Polydor’s Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO/Lauren Bennett/GoonRock is third having last week spent a fourth consecutive week at number one. Sales of Pitbull featuring Nayer, Afrojack and Ne-Yo’s RCA-handled single Give Me Everything are almost double what they were at this stage last week. As a result the single, which was 12th last week, is now showing up in the Top 10 positions for the first time in sixth place. Meanwhile, Interscope/Polydor’s Lady GaGa single Judas is enjoying a significant revival, having previously dropped down the chart, with the track’s video debut last week helping to lift sales by 120% on the week and move it 20-11. Levels/Ministry of Sound’s Yasmin presently has the strongest-performing new single of the week with Finish Line ranked eighth, while lower down other new singles cropping up include the Celtic Charity Fund charity single Just Can’t Get Enough by Good Child Foundation at 15. The single aims to raise money to prevent knife crime in Scotland. Albums House star Hugh Laurie’s career as a hit recording artist is on course to get off to an impressive start, with his newly-released Let Them Talk likely to be the highest new entry on the upcoming UK artist albums chart. The Warner Music Entertainment release is currently only being outsold, according to OCC data, by XL’s Adele album 21, which is heading for a 15th week at the top. Just below Laurie’s album is Adele’s first release 19, which is around 4,000 sales behind in third spot. Let Them Talk leads four new entries among the Top 10 positions at this stage of the week, with Epic’s latest Glee album, Glee The Music Presents The Warblers, placed fourth, The Last Shadow Puppets member Miles Kane’s Columbia debut Colour Of The Trap sixth and RCA’s The Ultimate Collection by Sade 10th. Bella Union’s second Fleet Foxes album Helplessness Blues, which debuted at two last Sunday, is presently ranked fifth in the week to date. Smother, the newly-issued album by Domino’s Wild Beasts, is just outside the Top 10 places in 11th position, while XL is looking to have three albums in the Top 20 with Tyler The Creator’s Goblin joining the two Adele albums. Goblin is currently the week’s 15th biggest seller, while other new albums aiming to make Top 40 debuts include Universal Republic act Lonely Island’s Turtleneck & Chain. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Top 40 Only Singles 1 David Guetta feat. [02] This is a mid thread for every artist do not go on and on and on about a certain artist to bring the board into disrepute. [03] Please be patient when you are asking for a request, as you might not get an answer straight away. [04] Any member asking for information that isn't in the updates we don't have, always read the topic before you post, I do not want to see questions like Where is Britney? repeated several times on every page of the thread, once is enough, bookmark the page if you don't have time to read all of the topic. Its not that hard. [05] Do not use BLOCK CAPITALS when posting a sentence its considered as shouting and rude. [06] Do not use Text Talk. [07] Do not use a light colour font when posting please its hard to read the topic, not everyone has 100% vision. [08] Please give a mention to who posted the chart info or the site name where you seen the mid info if you are copying and posting the chart info elsewhere, it takes forever trying to re-edit all the information up for you to see. [09] Please do not post lists, or sales info unless you are told to by myself or a chart mod, if you do have sales info that you wish to share round them off to the nearest thousand and name your source, do not post precise sales figures. [10] Regarding chart postions when posted when you see a sum/substraction for example 22+4, 40-7, if you add/subtract both figures together it gives you the actual position for the track. Its just simple addition or substraction. Go Figure.
May 10, 201115 yr It will be a close battle for No1 between Guetta and Bruno. Be interesting to see where The Edge Of Glory is come Sunday. Good to see Yasmin in the Top10
May 10, 201115 yr What are the chances of The Edge of Glory doing a Viva La Vida and actually ending up at Number 1 come Sunday? Or am I being a little too optimistic?!

May 10, 201115 yr The Edge of Glory is the most UK-friendly of the three songs from BTW I've heard so far. It could well become the highest charting song of the era. Time in Top 20! Nice
