I think Yasmin may fall back to around 10/11 by Sunday, unless it stays consistent on itunes, And Gaga may have two songs in the top 10 by sunday :o

Not great for Blue but did anybody expect any different, honestly? It will be much higher next week. They should have left the release until this week in fact, it would have debuted a little higher than it did (#12/13 maybe) and then maybe climbed into the top ten the following week.

On first listen, the new Gaga track isn't half bad - much prefer it to 'Judas'; although 'Born This Way' has grown massively on me the past couple of weeks. I wonder if 'Edge of Glory' and 'Hair' will ever see radio playlisting, considering they are promotional singles and all that for the time being.

 

As for the top 40, I'm surprised Gaga's 'Judas' is only at number 11 - although I imagine it's Yasmin's track that's keep it from the top 10 - I imagine it'll jump to number 8 come Sunday and that'll no doubt be it's peak. 'Edge of Glory' should get a top 10 placement too, number 7 I reckon - giving a slight irony in that a promotional single has done better than a release + a video.

 

Great to see Pitbull et al in the top 10 and Chase and Status in the top 20?! I imagine that'll drop, although I have high hopes it won't. New entries from Gaga and Glee (x 2) will probably push a few things down.

Although both have done extremely well to survive in the top 20 song long based entirely on multiple entries in the top 200.

There could be three different artists each with 2 entries top 10 this week if both GaGa songs climb in (David Guetta (WTGA/Sweat), Pitbull GME/OTF) and Lady GaGa (Judas/TEOG)) :o

 

Of course, that already happened once this year when Adele (SLY/RITD), Jessie J (PT/DILAD) and Chris Brown (Y3X/Champion) did it. But still quite impressive.

 

If Yasmin somehow holds onto the top 10 that'd be brilliant. I suspect she'll slip to around 12 by Sunday but that's still a new peak for her (she previously got to #15 as the feature on Devlin's Runaway if anyone's forgotten about that :kink:)

Looks like Adele will have the top 2 albums yet again - not complaining though :D 19 will easily overtake a 4k lead from Hugh Laurie. (Since when is he a singer anyway?)

 

Speaking of 19, Paul Hardcastle's song of the same name should show up in the mids tomorrow, as should The Edge Of Glory and at least 1 Glee song (IFP/U will definitely be there, SOWK probably will also and a small chance of BTW being there too). Should knock that random Champion re-entry back out.

 

Also great to see Chase & Status' album is back in the top 10 again and absolutely thrilled to see Tyler, The Creator in the top 15 - I expected low top 40 in the first mids then only just top 75 on Sunday. It will probably still fall a lot over the week but looks likely to go top 40 at least :D

I'm assuming you mean the top 20 :P It's great to see Alexandra Stan getting top 20 already and she's only C-listed on R1, her song is screaming "big summer dance hit". C&S were unlucky to miss top 20 last week, so if it climbs even to 20 that will be a nice achievement.
