Bizarre crediting of Serbia there, especially as the artist is called Nina, not Niña...

8 Eurovision entries in the top 100, one with two entries - not too bad.

Shame Saade didn't win, he really could have been hugely popular! I guess Ell & Nikki might have a top 75 hit on their hands after all! Two Lena songs in the top 100? NU RIHANNA ALERT! A bit more love for Nadine Beiler please!

Are any of the other songs that were in the chart at the same time as Satellite still in the top 100, ONE WHOLE YEAR later? Um, I think the definitive answer to that question is a big, fat NO. :) That'll show them.

Of the songs that were in the top 100 at the same time as Lena, Pass Out is still there with an unbroken run, She's Always A Woman was there only a couple of weeks ago and I Gotta Feeling is still there with a mostly unbroken run. It not really that impressive that a song is 'still in the top 100 ONE WHOLE YEAR later' considering she's been selling bugger all for most of the year... I could say the same thing about Jermaine Stewart 'TWENTY-FIVE WHOLE YEARS LATER' or Tracy Chapman 'TWENTY-THREE YEARS LATER' but they're not unbroken runs so it's meaningless.

22 of the 25 finalists are top 1000, missing is Mika Newton - Angel and Hotel FM - Change because they're not on iTunes and poor Evelina from Lithuania's C'est Ma Vie which got 6 (diaspora fueled) points from the UK.

Well, I'm just happy to see Zdob Şi Zdub top 100 to be honest :D I doubt they'll make it officially (will probably just be Blue, Jedward, Ell & Nikki and possibly Eric and AFIL going top 100 officially - still more than last year though) but if they do that'd be great.

[pointlesschartfact] They'd also be the first artist beginning with Z to make the top 100 with anything as the lead artist since The Zutons in 2008 with 'Always Right Behind You' [/pointlesschartfact]

It's just silly to compare songs to Pass Out and I Gotta Feeling tbh. If we compared all songs to those, then every artist would feel like a complete failure, and would have flop after flop. I DON'T THINK SO!

Satellite has done really well. :wub:

any sign of Swedish House Mafia - Save the World?

196. Swedish House Mafia - Save The World (Radio Mix)

Blue = I Can = 11 // 39

Jedward = Lipstick = 30 // 116

Ell and Nikki = Running Scared = 42

Eric Saade = Popular = 55

A Friend in London = New Tomorrow = 58

Lena = Taken By A Stranger = 77

Completely ignoring the part of my post where I said Satellite being in the chart now isn't really an achievement as she's been selling bugger all for nearly a year and is only back because Eurovision is on again?

And for the record, I only mentioned PO and IGF (and SAAW) because you said there were no songs still in the chart which were around when Satellite was.

-x-

Swedish House Mafia aren't doing very well :( Although I didn't even know it was out today until yesterday. The song isn't as good as O(YN) or M2I but I hope it can get them a third top 10 hit eventually anyway.

Good climbs for all (except Jedward's second version which seems to be stalling) :D

Not when you consider we gave them 10 of their 19 points, which I'll really never understand. Other people pointed out that it had a similarity to Colbie Caillat's Bubbly - the UK was the only European country that song flopped in :lol: So it's odd that only the UK 'got' this song and nobody else did...

On a separate note, my 3rd favourite song of the year has cracked the top 300 at #283 :cheer:

is there any sign of a song called 'Glorious' by an artist called Chris Selman?

Well, that is strange. It was a really dull forgettable song (even more so than most of the other dull forgettable songs and there were LOADS of them, particularly around the middle of the draw) so I'm not surprised it came last but I wonder why on Earth the UK saw fit to give it more points than the rest of Europe combined...

Then again, it also works the other way, why Bulgaria of all places to give us a 12? And we only got 6 from Ireland :wacko:
