Pibtull is eventually up to number 1!

I think the word you're looking for is 'finally'.

Anyway, great to see Pitbull at #1 :D

 13. Save the World (Radio Mix) - Swedish House Mafia

 98. Save the World (Extended Mix) - Swedish House Mafia

:w00t: Hopefully by some miracle this can go top 10 officially this week (would help if the radio mix went top 10 itself).

Glee related songs:

 38. Go Your Own Way (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

 39. Songbird (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

 50. Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac

 55. Don't Stop (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

 65. Dreams - Fleetwood Mac

 70. Songbird - Fleetwood Mac

And completely unrelated:

Looks like it won't go T40, can see it doing an 'Under Cover Of Darkness' :(

I did actually say on Thursday/Friday that Pitbull would go to #1 on iTunes on Tuesday. ^_^

Would you be shocked to hear I disagree with that sentiment? ;)

Just as long as he doesn't thwart The Saturdays, next week...

Judas back  to #7 :( If it ends up outside the top 10 again that will just be the most annoying thing ever

I don't think Hair will get to #1 now actually, it's still at #5. Then again, I never expected TEOG to get to #1 after it seemed to be stalling way behind at #4 so I guess we'll see.

Why has 'We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off' been floating around the top 40 for a while now?

Good to see Pitbull at #1 now. It's definitely a massive improvement on Bruno Mars imo.

Amazing to see Swedish House Mafia up to #12!!! :o I'm glad they're looking to have another successful era! :D

Glee's Songbird looking very unlikely like being officially top 40 :( Impossible in fact... It's my fave track of both seasons as well!

Happy to see Pitbull at #1 :D I'm not surprised it is either as I've seen the music video quite a few times on tv today. The songs been stuck in my head all day

We might be the first country in the world where Give Me Everything gets to #1! :o So far the highest its got is #2 in Australia and New Zealand.

I wonder why Give Me Everything is turning out to be such a smash, when Hey Baby kinda flopped in comparison. :( Has On the Floor made him that much more popular? Does Ne-Yo still have a bigger fanbase than we think?

Reasons I can think of are for HB flopping are

1 - T-Pain isn't that popular in the UK

2 - Didn't have lots of radio support

And GME doing well

1 - Pitbull has been on smash hit OTF

2 - More airplay [i can't be sure as I only listen to R1] and R1 support (EDIT - just realised GME is not on R1 playlist)

3 - More dancey/less generic

4 - Has 'proper' vocals by Ne-Yo on the chorus compared to T-Pain who's voice is 99% autotuned.

So yeah youre kinda right :)

What is the matter with you all? That Pitbull record is one of the worst records of the year so far!

I just realised something, Give Me Everything is at #1 both without frontloading *and* without R1 playlisting :o Shame R1 have some ridiculous grudge against him.

Less generic? It's FAR MORE generic. It's also far better though.

I'd put its success about 75% down to Ne-Yo and the extra attention (on TV channels at least) it gets because of Ne-Yo, then 25% down to the fact it's a US rap song with a European producer behind it, a sound which is very popular right now :P

As for HB(DIITF) flopping, I'm surprised it went as far as it did as it got about 0 airplay and 0 video play and neither artist is particularly that big in the UK in their own right.
