May 15, 201114 yr Correction, when was the last time Ireland didn't give Lithuania (if they quailified) 12 points The last time we gave Lithuania 12 points (in the final) was in 2007, so I don't really see your point?
May 15, 201114 yr Stefan Raab/Lena's version of Satellite can be bought on iTunes; http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/satellite...ion/id437270250 I may give that one a miss
May 15, 201114 yr The arrangement was interesting but I didn't like the melody being in a different key much.
May 15, 201114 yr Crowd booing at San Marino giving Italy/Cyprus awarding Greece with a 12 was quite funny to watch. Cyprus did give Norway only a 10 in 2009, so i don't think there is a chance in hell that someday those countries stop favouring each other. Cyprus gave Greece average of 11.13 points in the history of Eurovision (according to wiki)!! :o
May 15, 201114 yr Congrats to Azerbaijan, first win I believe? I quite liked the song, but I was not expecting it to win at all, I predicted Sweden to win since I first heard the song. It just sounded like a winner. But my prediction came close :P Shock flop result for Estonia! And Ireland getting all those 12's!? Wow! I forgot to mention when it was on.. I really liked the interval act in one of the semis, forgot which one it was, with the breakdancing to classical music. Thought that was real nice. Last night's interval act was meh.
May 15, 201114 yr Just watching Eric's MF performance on youtube, some how Sweden managed to break more glass in that one performance than Germany could all week
May 15, 201114 yr Really pleased for Georgia and Denmark, both finished very high up the leaderboard! Goes to show that the Lordi effect is still there, and that a quality rock song can do well in the competition.

Goes to show that the Lordi effect is still there, and that a quality rock song can do well in the competition. What part in Denmark's performance was rock? :P I loved their verses, they were quite indie though. The chorus, however... And why did he suddenly ran to the centre stage.. A total WTF moment
May 15, 201114 yr Well maybe Denmark was more pop-rock than Georgia's nu-metal entry, but it still qualifies as a rock entry in my book - it did have guitars, bass and drums, with distortion :P
May 15, 201114 yr Switzerland really should have sent; Ux1TZpWQjPs I DON'T CARE WHETHER OR NOT IT WAS A BAD PERFORMANCE. IT'S AMAZING :( EDIT: Also, I don't like what they did with our song :( Lee was good though! (Sorry just catching up on the performances.) And it was a better performance than what was lead for us to believe from rehearsal reports etc. So I'm proud of them! ALSO, MOLDOVA! They're so fun!! LOL

Eldrine - One More Day (Georgia) 24. Loukas Giorkas & Stereo Mike - Watch My Dance (Greece) 25. Zdob si Zdub - So Lucky (Moldova) So despite me "going off the song" about a fortnight ago, I realise just how strong Eric Saade was as a performer and that 'Popular' was indeed one of the best songs on the night. Still like 'Sognu' but the studio version - the version performed last night was in a lower key and he seemed to be slightly off key for the first section. That might've just been down to his vocal style but did sound slightly off, but I still like the song itself. 'Running Scared' has always been one of my faves and whilst it's a nice pleasant song, I did think their vocals were slightly weak on the night. Didn't matter as they trounced all other countries in the end. Blue's performance disappointed me A LOT. I didn't like the revamped version - seemed all very "try hard" and would've prefered them just sticking to the album version. Lee has clearly been singing far too many high notes as last night his first big note was a complete and utter non event. Still, 'I Can' is a good song but this was more an 'I Can't' moment sadly. What happened to poor BRAVE Kati Wolf? Could she not hear the backing track? She started off ok, they there this look of horror in in her face - then she sang the next three lines out of time to the backing track and finally found her when the beat kicked in. Vocally, she was great but for some reason her timing was out in the opening verse.
May 15, 201114 yr those ratings are great :D it actually beat BGT (although no surprises as its been seriously weak this year), I think that shows we still have an interest in the contest, and, maybe some day, we can actually get a song into the top 10 Edited May 15, 201114 yr by chart wizard

May 15, 201114 yr LMFAO! Only in the UK will they give Ireland 12, Moldova 8 and Italy 7! LOL :manson: At least we managed to get 100 points though!
May 15, 201114 yr Jade's top5 in 2009 slipping your mind there? no, I was saying that some day we can repeat that, however long it takes :P Edited May 15, 201114 yr by chart wizard
May 15, 201114 yr Here's who the UK voted for in Semi 1 for those that care; 12 - Lithuania (disapora reigns supreme, mind you that's who I voted for actually ) 10 - Hungary (obvious, the UK gays and fanboys were always going to send this sky high in the semi) 8 - Greece (glad we didn't repeat this in the final) 7 - Iceland 6 - Finland 5 - Poland 4 - Azerbaijan 3 - Portugal (dear god) 2 - Switzerland (so why did it jump to a ten in the final?) 1 - Turkey (surprisingly low)
May 15, 201114 yr 2 - Switzerland (so why did it jump to a ten in the final?) Could it be something to do with performing before UK, so viewing figures went up after BGT finished?
