This song is AMAZING! :D I like it more than PRA. Especially at about 5:30 in the video, I love that part!

Earlier in the thread I said this song was 'alright' and 'PRA is 10x better' etc. but "Champagne Showers" has finally clicked with me and I looove it :cheer: Was amazed to see it T40 last week. PRA is still better and I'm glad that was the bigger hit, but CS is still great

I actually quite like this musically, it's just a shame the song itself is so shit and they made poor Natalia Kills sound like a robot. :(

I actually wondered when I heard this, what is the point of Natalia Kills being in this song other than as a selling point? Ok, neither of LMFAO are particularly stellar in the vocal department, but they could have easily taken one of their own voices and autotuned and pitchshifted the living hell out of it and no-one would have noticed any different.

^ I thought the same really. But at the same time, I don't think Natalia Kills is really going to help sell the song either. I think probably Interscope just wanted to give her more exposure through the song. Or perhaps she wrote the chorus or something.

The evening's main event, LMFAO's loud, exuberant, colorful headlining set, came at the end. The duo was augmented by a cadre of male and female dancers that formed human pyramids, drank liquor from a beer funnel during "Shots," rocked out in anatomy-hugging workout gear, and then there was the full body Panda suit. But the centerpiece, of course, was the twosome themselves as they danced, bounced, and jumped their way through next single "Sexy And I Know It," "Party Rock Anthem" and several others in zebra-print boxer briefs (in one case) and a ridiculously long red faux-phallus (in another case). Even if you were standing no where near the front, you left feeling like you'd been bombed with sweat, alcohol, and a little bit of glitter: eau de Party Rock.

Is Sexy And I Know It the next US single?? What happened to Champagne Showers?

If that's true, I guess it just means they're missing out Champagne Showers in the US.

 

I can see the logic behind that, since it hasn't really done that well worldwide.

 

But compare that to Sexy And I Know It, which has managed to chart in a few countries without being sent to radio and with no music video.

 

Sexy and I Know It sounds extremely similar to another song though...

I think they did "Sexy & I Know It" when opening for K$. It seemed cool.

LOL. As far as selling points go, Natalia Kills is hardly up there. I think the plan for this was to expose Natalia Kills to the public seeing as they are both on the same label and after Party Rock Anthem they were expecting this to have somewhat similar success but..

They completely f***ed her over, her voice could be ANYONES on this, she needn't have bothered. It really baffles me why they did that, it's a horrible noise they made and her normal voice is lovely and has a stunning tone. ODD.

I've only just caught onto this. it's a real slow burner, at first I thought it was boring and hadn't had anything much to it, but it's grown on me. the instrumental is probably my favourite part of it. the song isn't up to the amazingness of 'party rock anthem' either.

I'm not keen on natalia in the song though. like said, it really doesn't sound like her. :( she looks good in the video though.

This is actually RATHER GOOD. As previous posters have said it's certainly a grower. I still WEEP for Natalia Kills though who actually has a very decent voice and has been totally screwed over by whoever produced this/gave the nod to turn her into an honorary chipmunk. The best bit of the song remains the bit where you can actually HEAR HER SING "won't forget."
